I know the majority of people hated that Cortana level but damn it I miss that horror survival feeling being swarmed and the threat of being infected. It wouldn’t be that hard to bring the Flood back into the story, there’s got to be a science beaker filled with a flood spore some where that a forerunner or ancient human forgot to store properly.
At the very least they could do a mode where you survive against hordes of the flood. That would be more fun than something like Spartan Ops where you just push a button and fight covies…

I would LOVE to have the flood back, but only if:
They aren’t shown in any trailers, gameplay footage, pictures, leaks, spoilers, etc. until the game has been released, like Halo CE where they were a surprise.
