What do you think? Chief never had it, so if assassinations come back should he use his bare hands (snapping necks and other stuff) or should the knife be brought back?
Seeing as he’s been kitted out with a new set of armour I wouldn’t exactly say it’s impossible for him to somehow procure a knife.
Assassinating enemies without a knife is an interesting concept. I would like some environmental assassinations, Such as chucking an enemy off a cliff, shoving an enemy into explosives, or tossing him/her into a destructive machine.
I could imagine the epicness

True.
I’d like to see assassinations that look a little more stealthy, after all, that is the point of them
There are plenty of assassinations that do not use the knife.
Snap neck
Tackle to ground and constantly punch
Slam plasma grenade on head, kick away
Energy sword assassinations
kick enemy to knees, pull out pistol, aim to forehead, take a single shot…

I love tackle kills

jesus guys retractible wrist blades in the new armour common makes scence right

i definitely think assassinations should return cause in multiplayer it adds a sense of humiliation when u get assassinated rather than just being beat down but for campaign since chief dont have a knife (for some odd reason lol) he should just use other means

he doesnt have new armor in halo 4 hes been in cryosleep in a half blown up ship!! what the hell have u been smoking

I do like the “humiliation” effect that an assassination does bring with it. It rivals the dreaded feeling of when you get “owned” from across a map with the sniper rifle. The assassination could also be a sharp, hard blow to the back of the neck with the butt of a rifle or heel of the pistol.

Have you… I dunno, even paid any attention to Halo 4 since it’s announcement? Like that trailer that shows Chief’s anti-gravity thrusters, grenade-launching pistol, and his new set of armour? Hell, there’s even a wallpaper show-casing his new armour.
And this is the armour he has in Halo 3:

If that looks the same to you then I don’t know what else to tell you.
I don’t think it would be hard to throw a combat knife somewhere on his person a la Reach. I want to see it return, as I prefer the knife assassinations more than the hand-based ones. He’s on a UNSC frigate, after all. Why wouldn’t he be able to acquire a knife?
MAKE ALL THE ASSASINATIONS

And the game is now rated M for mature. Assassination are good but going too far with the bloody killing etc. is too much.
