For Halo 5 I really want to see the Arbiter return and one of the most iconic weapons from the halo series, the plasma rifle.
In halo 2 I found myself enjoying the Arbiter storyline more than the master chief side. I have all confidence in 343 and think they could deliver a brilliant Arbiter storyline, post the halo event back on the sangheili homeworld whilst chief is off doing his thing.
This would allow for elites to be added back into the multiplayer part of the game as playable characters and the return of vehicles such as the scarab and revenant because the elites back on their homeworld will be better equipped than the storm faction we faced in halo 4.
Plus the plasma rifle must return, in my opinion.
They’d probably ruin the plasma rifle by giving it the plasma repeater model and a really ridiculous sound… oh wait… they did that with the focus- umm… beam rifle. However, if they actually managed to bring back the actual plasma rifle, I’d be pretty darn happy.
The plasma rifle is gone for canonical reasons storm rifle is its replacement give the gun a few more games and we will get accustomed to it just like the plasma rifle but I hope the elites make a triumphant return and the arbiter has his separate tale that intertwines with chiefs like in halo 2
Totally right! I really want the arbiter back. It’s my favorite character in all halo games! I don’t know how to introduce it in the story of the new incoming Halo for Xbox one But I want it back!!!

Blaming something being removed on Canon is silly because the developers MAKE the Canon.
I’d prefer the Plasma repeater. It’d look better next to the AR and Suppressor.
The Plasma rifle is pretty much the Covenant equivalent to the SMG not the AR or Suppressor. So if the Plasma rifle comes back the SMG will follow then dual wielding and the mess that follows it.
The Repeater will look better next to the other automatics and having a one handed automatic weapon that can’t be dual wielded so it works is silly.
Having only two handed rifles makes more sense to me.
The Repeater can work exactly the same as the Plasma rifle if it’ll be more balanced but a two handed weapon will look so much better IMO.
I’d trade the Storm rifle for the Repeater but not the Plasma rifle.
I agree as the Assault Rifle was upgraded to the MA5D without any big changes, so they could have done the same with the Plasma Rifle. Those two guns are the series signature weapons imo. Also, on the other note, having two stories told in one campaign is always a good idea
