Return of Halo 3 MLG?

Halo 3 “MLG rules” was the pinnacle of competitive multiplayer. Fact. (For those that argue halo 1, respect, but it was Halo 3)

Here is how I would make Halo 5, I would start w/ Halo 3 and …

-Eliminate / Minimize “Host” effect and lag
-No special abilities ( any abilities are timed drops on the map like Halo 3, maybe add promethean vision and sprint as a drop, if it tests well)
-60 FPS
-Restore the user level system (0-50)
-Consider any feature that destroys balance a sin
-Improve hit registering

It sounds like 343 is on the right track, I hope they are spending months developing and perfecting multiplayer levels, fine tuning the mechanics, and optimizing for lag. Any thoughts on how close to a round of Halo 3 MLG we will be able to play in Halo 5?

In all honesty, I don’t think we need something that plays that similar to H3. We have it in the MCC for crying out loud. Let H5 do competitivity in its own way.
