Over the years fans have missed the Brutes dearly, their return in HW2 made people excited, and a lot of people are happy that they can now fight them in a shooter again. That’s of course good.
But…
Unless you count Halo: Spartan Strike, then the drones have been missing for even longer, yet so far I see nobody desiring their return, nobody’s even mentioning them, as if they have never existed. Why the difference? Do you want to fight them again?
Drones tended to be one of the more annoying enemies to fight (Funny, considering Crawlers and Ranged Pures exist), to an exceptional degree. It’s less that they are souring to face but more just… Not really engaging. Swarm enemies as a rule aren’t very fun to fight in FPS games, especially when they fly.
Might as well bring the whole family back for the reunion; Engineers too while we’re at it.
Buggers by far is the most annoying enemy to me. As much as a red dwelling would piss me off in Halo 2, I would welcome a return of those aholes!! Solely because I would just love to grapple punch so many of them!
While we’re at it bring back those other drone ranks found in Halo 3 ODST especially those with double health plus shields.
