Witch Armor ability would you to return?
Hologram and Auto-Turret. Preferably Spartan Assault’s variant instead of Halo 4’s near-useless variant. Maybe Halo 3’s laser one, since that was awesome.
Also Evade. Evade was fun.
I’d reply with my choices, but I’m afraid that I’d get beat up by the 900 armor-ability haters out there. Ya know, to heck with it.

Active Camo should definitely be a pickup again. I’d like Evade, Jetpack, and Thruster Pack back for Forge and Custom Games. As for the others, I really don’t care.

I just love to tease promethean vision users with the stealth perk and hologram.
To me debating whether or not armor abilities should return is like debating whether or not, oh IDK, guns or something should return. Of course they should, all of them along with numerous new ones.

Armor Lock shouldn’t return. It is too broken with its invincibility while in use, brief invulnerability when coming out of Armor Lock, the ability to quickly turn around unnaturally fast when exiting and being able to melee anyone nearby, an EMP ability to strips shields and stops vehicles, the ability to be easily spammable and zero possible downsides.

Even completely ignoring that, invincibility isn’t something that’s fun in a game where the primary goal is (usually) to kill your opponent.
It’s a pause button on action and player interaction that slowly becomes insufferable whether the armor locker dies or not.
I want the pick up approach (barring sprint). Especially for stuff like jet pack.
The Problem with the Majority of the Armor Abilities is that they are simply aren’t fun to use (Hardlight, Auto Sentry, Regen, DropShield, Thruster).
And those that are “fun” are just plainly imbalance (Jetpack, Camo, Evade, Promethean vision, Armor Lock).
But Hologram is the only exception in this, the problem is that it’s the only ONE.

armor lock needs to be altered.

What if it was made so that there is a delay when starting up armor lock. When the user activates it it takes a full second or more to become invincible. This would reduce the “oh crud I’m about to die /armor lock” aspect of it, and user would need to time it better and think a little harder to make good use of it.

Nope, the mere fact that you get to be invincible at all with the of the other elements that make Armor Lock broken make it completely incompatible with Halo.
I highly doubt armour lock will return. If it was worth the work to fix it, it would have been in Halo 4.
Personally I think armour abilities in and of themselves are the wrong way to go. I think 343 should back-pedal to equipment and see what different routes they can take them from there.
