"Retrieving Data"

When logged into Live Gold, Halo 5 displays message “Retriving Data”, but doesn’t load data. Game can be played but without access to Reqs. How do I fix this problem? We have tried to log off and back, on unplugged for 5 minutes, and connected to hard line internet.

Make sure you are wired. If you start the game and are not getting sync errors, give a minute or two for the reqs to load into the game. Check that you have access to your reqs before you go into the matchmaking lobby.

This is what I do:
Wait 1 minute or two for the req’s to load. As long as you did not get any synchronization errors they will load. Goes like this Retrieving Data > Red error message > reqs load. if you get retrieving data or red error at start up, go back one screen wait 30 seconds, and then go back into your req inventory. Repeal until the req’s load. The req system is so bloated, it loads after the game has loaded.

If you are playing and you suddenly get the retrieving data message, the only thing I have found to work is to restart H5.

While I agree this is usually the case, this is not happening for me. I am not getting a sync error or any kind of error for that matter. I’ve played a couple games of arena and still I cannot access REQs. I am used to having to wait a couple minutes for REQ access, but even with a wired connection, restarting the game, resetting the router, hard resetting the console, nothing is working. This is really frustrating because I enjoy playing Warzone, but can’t play it because I have no access to REQs.

I have not been able to access my bookmarks, custom maps nor my prefabs for over 3 weeks now. I re-installed 3 times and still cannot access any files. All I see is the wheels spinning round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and still will not load my bookmarks, maps or prefabs for Halo 5 Forge For Windows 10.

I am also having the same issue since the update. I have tried everything to fix it but nothing works.
I will list the things effected for me.

  1. In lobby emblems show up as white with loading indicator.
  2. Can not open ingame store.
  3. Can not use req’s
  4. Can not see req points
  5. Can not use boosts
  6. Can not view req’s I own
  7. Post game stats do not load, only loading indicator.

Yes THIS!!! ^^^^^^^ Please 343 this is so frustrating. I have literally stopped playing the game because of this bug and it’s sad because I’m a huge halo advocate. I just want to play warzone. I don’t have a competitive team for arena/ranked playlists. Please address this!

I tweeted unyshek. He took down my gamertag, the next day/today the issue was fixed for me. You guys should try tweeting him if you are still having the issue like I was. Big thanks to @Unyshek for his help!
