Retrieving Data?? How to fix??

My game is forever “Retrieving Data” and I don’t know how to fix it. Please help!

I’ve tried quitting the app. That hasn’t worked.
Ive tried restarting my Xbox. That doesn’t work.

I cant ant acess the req store. I can’t see my spartan rank, carnage report, or see my boosts

please help

If your xbox is set to instant on, restarting won’t help without a hard restart.

Is a hard reset when you disconnect the power or when you press and hold the power button?

Update: now I’m getting a “profile sync error” when I restart the game.

Still having all the same issues listed above. Please advise

Yes. Unplug the XBOX wait at least 20 seconds for the capacitors to drain, then plug it back in. I thought you had tried that already.

I do a hard start after every update.

So it’s going on 4 full days now, where I’m having this issue. I’m pretty certain it’s a profile sync error, which causes my cloud data not to sync properly.

I called Xbox support and they ran me through some troubleshooting, but no resolve. They told me that my 3-6% packet loss should be zero and I need to contact my internet provider, but they aren’t open on weekends.

Ive tried deleting all profiles from my Xbox, clearing Mac Address in advanced settings, hard rebooting the Xbox and disconnecting the router/modem. Still having the same issue.

When I start Halo 5 it wants to sync last saved data from the cloud, but I don’t believe it’s doing it successfully. Most things appear normal, but when I go to the in game Req store still says Retrieving data and unable to use it. Same with trying to play warzone. Which really sucks cuz I primarily play warzone. Tried playing arena all day yesterday, which is better cuz at least it’s a level playing field, but still after every game can’t load anything and I can’t view any progress.

My my last didn’t effort that I’m trying right now is uninstalling Halo 5 and reinstalling it.

i had those same issues…still happens from time to time but for me it generally tends to resolve itself…try playing and if it doesnt work then reset your xbox and internet or whatever else your doing and try again…if it doesnt work just play arena and try again the next day…all you can do really

That really sucks. This shouldn’t be happening to anyone

Are you hard wired or running wireless?

I got this one last night OP, couldn’t load any playlists for Arena or WZ. Here’s a video but xboxclips is having problems with my profile ATM and XboxDVR was down before, so good luck with the below links:

Xbox Clips - retreiving data…
Xbox DVR - retieving data…

Full gamut of process of elimination run. 2 x wired ISPs, 2 x modems/routers, reconfig’d, cable vs ADSL2= connections and it was the same issue. Hard reboots, no instant on, not in preview program etc.
