Just had this again but not just limited to my ability to access in game reqs but a whole manner of menu screens pre and post match.
Right from the outset I had a retrieving req data failure during the loading screens, a big red and black interface saying “req service unavailable” so i manage to get past that and it shows i have some req packs which it then shows me what they are. Then even more astounding it lets me open 2 of the 3, but the 3rd fails every time.
Unsure as to whats up I decide to try a game of heroic firefight which loads fine i get a fresh game and every single person in the game is unable to pull any reqs. obvously we fail in the last round and it tries to load the post match report but even that fails. It shows a spinning circle and… yep… “Retrieving data”
Attempting to access anything in the req menus now shows up the req service unavailable screen
Yeah I can’t even select an area playlist, literally have been retrieving data for 20 mins now. Every person in my friends list also has the same issue.
I checked the service status before posting this and it said there was some kind of error at some point but it was like 8pm US time. Seeing as its now past 10pm australian time i figure that was many many hours ago so I am wondering if this is still that issue or something new and unforseen thats currently knocked out most/all halo online playability
Hopefully its fixed cause here i was actually wanting to play halo again and i cant lol
Problem Detected
Well, this is embarrassing. Looks like we have some problems on our end.
cant even check out my past game history, at least i know its not just my internet being lame lol
Seems to be a continuation of the server errors they had last night, I was asleep at that time just read around a bit.
Try the following options:
- Hard reset of your Xbox (hold down the power icon until the fan goes quiet) - Clearing your MAC address in your console’s advanced network settings - Restarting your internet router (turn it off for 30 seconds or find the reset button on the unit itself)
