Reticule Visibility and HUD

So despite the new and improved sounds we were treated to in the recent Halo bulletin, one thing I think everyone has failed to point out are the new ugly reticule designs. They now are FAR less visible, and along with the other HUD elements, are outlined with these ugly gray strokes.

This seems like such a simple thing to get wrong, but as anyone who played the Reach beta knows, if your weapon’s reticule isn’t very visible it certainly makes encounters more difficult than they should. I just don’ t see why the reticules had to be changed from their original form.

They’re definitely too dark. I wouldn’t mind them being exactly as they were in the original game, those seemed to work best.

I am inclined to agree with this assessment.

I’ll have to go back and look at the videos again, but I do remember the Beta. Even though I liked it better than the assault rifle, it was quite a challenge to get a kill with the magnum.

Edit: Just went back and looked, and I have to say, they did change the color too much. I don’t see why it was changed in the first place.
