There has been no gameplay for the campaign in over a year. There is no reason to pre order the campaign its selling for $60 and the multiplayer is free. I would be fine with this if we knew what to expect from the campaign or had something to see to clue us in on what’s going on. I think the campaigns gonna be good but that’s just because the flights have been good. You gain nothing for pre ordering not a skin or some other cosmetic. If you buy a copy from some stores you get the zeta sky camo but that’s kind of bologna you should get it for pre ordering in general. Unless your just adamant about pre ordering the game I wouldn’t do so. 343 Has given no incentive to buy it and I feel people will grow more concerned as time goes on about the campaign.
This game is 2 months from Launch and we have no new gameplay and no reason to pre order. I know people will still pre order, but reserve yourself it never does any good to be hasty with money. At least until we get something.
EDIT: I want to clarify I think the game will be good and I’m hoping it will be amazing. The flights were fun and I only have nit pics about the gameplay but for those on the fence its not worth it to pre order in my opinion. I remember when I pre ordered MW 2019 thinking it would be the return to greatness for call of duty but I was just blinded by good graphics and in the end I was disappointed, I wish someone told me to wait and that’s what I hope to accomplish by posting this.
343i have started they’re going to be showing campaign gameplay before launch and specifically not to expect any campaign gameplay footage until nearer release.
Kicking up a fuss about a lack of campaign gameplay when they’ve already said that it’s not coming yet is just baffling.
Let people spend their money how they want to.
A lot of people will be playing this on GamePass anyway.
Not to mention that most of the profits from Halo Infinite will actually be from the Multiplayer microtransactions, pre orders don’t really make up that big of a financial gain in the grand scheme of things.

…But I don’t see this forum post lighting the internet on fire and convincing mass amounts of people to cancel their pre orders or waiting til we have campaign gameplay…Maybe a handful sure, but what’s a couple hundred dollars to a multi billion dollar company? It’s a hardly a drop in the bucket.
Preordering games is pointless, not to mention they are bound to lower price of Single-player a few months after launch.
Preordering games was cool way back when where you’d get exclusive (yes, actually exclusive) items or content, now it is the most common way customers get ripped off.
All i will say is that people will buy anything even if its not worth it. Ive said myself that i would like the price decreased because it doesn’t look worth $60 to me at this moment ( judging from what I’ve seen ) . Other people say its “the biggest campaign yet and open world” and i think its safe to say that these people dont care what it showed but really about what it said. Remember H5 where there was trailers showing Locke about to shoot Chief and vice versa? Well that never happened and instead we got an EPIC FIST FIGHT and it was so cool because…it was garbage. I used to buy a halo game regardless of what it showed but this is gonna be a back of my head everytime i think about buying infinite so yall can risk your money but Im gonna be smart.
343 have stated they will be showing off campaign before launch. Right now the focus has been on multiplayer. I’m a little worried too, but I have faith in them after the flight.
I think not preordering is good advice for any game. I think it’s fair to say that this is OP’s opinion and advice and not a command for all Halo fans.
It also doesn’t sound like OP is trying to boycott 343, just offer friendly wisdom.

I didn’t mean to kick up a fuss or tell people to not buy the game in general. I just wanted people to Rethink Pre-ordering, some are on the fence and with no incentive to pre order I personally don’t think they should. I wish people told me to not pre order certain games and wait until the game came out to see its quality. It doesn’t hurt to not pre order, if anything it just saves some people from wasting there money unnecessarily.
I had fun with the flights and I love halo I just wanted to make people think about it and maybe save some there money if this turns out to be a flop (which I don’t think it will).
At this time, I haven’t pre-ordered the game mainly due to lack of information about exclusive pre-order bonuses and due to minimal information about future downloadable content like campaign DLC. For me, it’s preferable to get the financially most beneficial deal and it’s relatively difficult to decide when pretty much no information has been provided about future campaign DLC and how these pieces of downloadable content will be purchased and the cost for these purchases.
Last time they showed game play, the 50 people with $2000 TVs got butt hurt that not all the pixels were used. I mean cyberpunk showed tons of game play and look how that turned out.
I don’t recall if early halo game (3 and ODST come to mind) really put out much other than the CGI and live action ads. Those things had the hype trailed at full power.
I would be more angry about how you cant preorder the halo infinite Xbox X bundle because, they aren’t even trying to stop the people taking advantage of their bad security system.
Yes, I agree. I have pre-ordered every Halo game except Halo CE, this will be the first that I plan to not preorder and I may very well wait for co-op to launch. We’ll see if I change my tone when more information is released.
Honestly, never pre order, especially when you can now just install the game without even having purchasing it, so the whole “for a preload” isn’t worth it either. Honestly the only thing I could see being worth a pre order is the limited edition console but scalpers sorta took that chance away.
Game pass is cheaper and if you don’t play through the campaign in a month then you’ll get your money’s worth. I’m personally wondering whether the “live service” includes the campaign as I would love extra content. I was really hoping to get some current gen flood after the HW2 dlc. And the banished have a lot of cool characters. There’s also a lot of loose ends from the previous campaigns that should be concluded in the trilogy.
I don’t care about skins so even if they had one for preorder I wouldn’t care. I want digital copies so I really don’t see a reason to preorder any time soon? I will a week out just so I can predownload every thing. Am I wrong?
This is Halo we are talking about right? As much as I think we have been going downhill since halo 4, I am REALLY excited for Infinite. Its been what, 6 years since we had a new halo game? I loved the multiplayer. It brought back that halo 2/3 feel that I love so much.
As for the campaign… I am one of those people who will spend most of their time playing halo, running through the campaign and exploring secrets and such. I am so excited to have this massive world in campaign to explore. I think anyone who is a HALO FAN, should preorder… theres no reason NOT to…
