Retailer Xbox Play Anywhere?

I was looking into pre-ordering Halo Wars 2 recently, but I was wondering:
If I pre-order a digital copy from a store (such as GameStop), do I still get Xbox Play Anywhere, or do I have to purchase it through Xbox?

A digital copy is a digital copy no matter who you Purchase it from. Just easier to pay for it at your Xbox and download it vs going to the store in my opinion. Hope this helped, good luck!
