What it is: The resupply specialization allows you to pick up grenades from the bodies of enemies and allies.
Why it’s lame: I think it’s really a downer to have to use a specialization to get you back to the same potential you had in previous Halo games. The specializations are supposed to be exciting ways to customize your spartan. I’m a big grenade user and am disappointed that I have to use a specialization slot just to bring myself up to the old standard.
It’s to lessen nade spam, but with the indicator and our increased jump height/movement speed, and AA’s to protect us like the Hardlight shield, the change now makes no sense.
Same here, besides now people who don’t have the mod will have to carefully think twice before tossing those nades to make them count. Hooray! The grenade party is ove- has been toned down.
This REALLY needs to change. As someone else said above me, with grenade indicators, less powerful grenades than Reach, and faster speed and jumps, it’s completely pointless.
> Wait, so you can’t pick up grenades unless you have this specialization?
My understanding is that you can pick up grenades from ordnance drops, but not from bodies. I am not sure about the locations around the map, or even if items spawn on the maps now.
I don’t have a huge problem with it. If you couldn’t pick up grenades at all without it I’d be pissed but since you can get them off of the map it’s not too bad.

Grenade spam isn’t even a problem unless your jump/movement speed is slow and it’s impossible to escape the grenades blast radius (ala Reach). Apparently Halo 4 has faster movement speed and higher jump. So avoiding grenades shouldn’t be a problem anymore.
I also really dislike that specialization. It should be a default thing for everyone.
> the game is a FPS, not a FPG (first person grenader).
Lol! Now people have to realize that grenades are a tool to assist you to get kills, can’t say how many times I’ve died far more by grenades than actual weapons. I mean the second I start to shoot the other guy throws a tsunami of grenades at me without firing a single shot from his weapon.
You have 2 options without it: Personal Ordinance drops, and map spawns.
If you use grenades as a kill, get the tac.pack. If you don’t, use something else, and remember what grenades spawn and where on the map. That way, instead of being limited to 2 at one time, you could have a max of 4.
There are ways around this limitation. Learn what’s going on in the maps when the game comes out and you’ll have an easier time.
I’m glad you need a modification to pick up nades from dead bodies. I’m getting so sick and tired of people who would rather throw all of their nades at my feet in a 1v1 encounter than to actually try and shoot me with their weapon.
This will certainly help out with nade spamming issues from past games. Another thing that would annoy me in Reach was when someone would come sprinting at you, melee you once and immediately after, throw a nade straight at the ground. So stupid.

I am glad that I’m not the only one who thinks so.
