March 30, 2012 was Bungie’s last day in charge of the Halo servers. (Almost) no one is playing MCC as a new game. We’re all here from 10-20 years ago. Why on earth did 343 decide to change up all the playlist settings? Who asked for these changes? Who made the decision to remix a game that is essentially just a Greatest Hits tribute? MCC should have been an easy home run.
I would legitimately offer $1,000 to have the playlist, map selection/weighting, veto, and ranking systems from Bungie’s last day restored to all games on MCC. I just want my old Halo back. The map selection/weighting 343 updated in Halo 3 is barely tolerable. The map selection/weighting in Halo Reach makes the game unplayable. The lack of any sort of veto system is borderline insulting.
Oh how I miss the days of 4v4 on Valhalla, 1 Flag on Reflection, 2 Flag on Hemorrhage. Oh how I loathe the days of Snipers on Zealot, everything on Edge.
