Restarting Mission Leaderboard Glitch

I just did a halo 3 legendary attempt of the Ark (Individual level) and got an 18 minute ark, however this was done right after a failed Ark attempt earlier. After the first attempt I went to press restart mission instead of save and quit (saves load time and is generally how I have done speedrunning attempts on halo 3 for the 360). Both should functionally offer the same thing, a fresh attempt at getting on the leader board with the timer starting from zero.

Albeit the timer did start from 0, when i completed my level (the game continued progress into the covenant, the level after the ark) and I had gone to check the leader boards I had noticed my time did not update.

I did further testing and when doing a level I had never done before for the leader boards (Floodgate on normal) and restarting halfway through the level, after the completed level, neither the total time of the completed level + the restarted bit (in case the game thought my level time was equivalent to the total time) nor the actual level time was added to the leaderboards.

I proceeded to test the leaderboards were updating by doing the same level without restarting and I completed it without issue.

This isn`t an urgent problem, save and quit works fine to grind level times. It would just be more convenient to be able to submit to the leaderboards using the restart button as its faster to start over then.

The main purpose of this post is to either correct me (it was late at night, I could’ve been crazy) or to provide awareness on the issue so that hopefully eventually it can be fixed.

Thanks

This is an issue 343i noticed and will fix when its time comes. Give 'em a week.
