Respraying My Spartan Helmet.

The time has come to respray my Spartan helmet (at the moment it sits on my shelf, a dark grey colour). As the helmet is going to be the first of my custom Spartan outfit to get resprayed, I was hoping the Halo community would help me out with the colours as I just can’t seem to decide (I have gone from white with red detail, sky blue with black detail, to patterns such as jungle or urban camouflage). Not that is should influence the decision in any way, but the helmet is a custom Recon variant.

I’m always a fan of crazy color combos like light blue and dark green or something like pink and purple. A lot of people like to do browns or grays to blend in to the background surroundings but I just like to stand out and be unique.

Primary: Red-Orange (HEX: FF4500) Like a flat, base color.
Details: Copper – Like a shiny, metallic color.

I kinda like the idea of the details only showing faintly unless light is shining on them. I’m not really sure though because it’s hard for me to picture.

Now you’ve got me thinking. What about reflective paint? I think it only comes in white or yellow. You could edge the angles with it and do an opposing dark color for your primary and some other color for the details… :open_mouth: Maybe edge the details with the reflective paint.

Now I want to make a helmet and paint it!

Reflective paint? Now theres an idea I would never have thought of :open_mouth: That is a very interesting option. Subtle white lines painted on the armour that are reflective would be cool.
