Hey everyone Vampyre0422 here! Alright. If anyone has read any of my posts you all know that I have been a major supporter of 343i’s decisions. I love the way these armors and armor mods are looking… I love the effects of the specializations, and I love the weapon skins. I love A lot of the things I have seen in this weeks bulletin. HOW EVER! As much as this truly pains me. I must say I am not a fan of how i have to wait until I rank up completely and how I am only allowed to use ONE… I feel like I should be allowed to choose which specialization I take into battle based on what situations I think will take place. I understand I will eventually get all of the specializations… But I don’t understand why they cant be awarded as I progress Through the ranks instead of having to wait until after I progress… Please don’t think I am flaming What H4 will be and I am definitely not flaming 343i. I am just voicing my concerns, would some one please shed some light on this subject?
When you hit max rank (level 50) you have the option to extend your rank cap and enlist in specializations. The Standard Edition gives you the choice of 2 Specializations at this point, Pioneer and Wetworks. The Limited Edition allows users to choose from all eight.
You can only choose one at a time, and must commit to it. You can progress through 10 levels with the chosen specialization, unlocking armor, skins, emblems, and an Armor Mod. Once you hit the max rank again, you can choose another specialization.
When you complete all the specializations, you’ll have hit the complete max rank cap. 130.
With Standard Edition, 343i will unlock certain specializations based on how many people are hitting the rank cap.
Once you complete a specialization, you keep everything in it. The Armor Mod unlocked can be used separately but still acts like a Tactical Package or Support Upgrade, one at a time.
Its end-game content, to keep players playing after they hit max rank and give them new things for playing.
i understand that part… we are getting the limited edition so i will be able to choose from all eight… but after i commit to all of these specializations. will i be able to switch back and forth? or will my last one i use to reach max rank be the one i am stuck with? and i would much like to use these specializations as i rank up…

I don’t think you understand the actual specialization part.
For 10 levels, once you enlist in a specialization, there are certain things you need to do. The Operator specialization is associated with vehicles, so you’ll be focusing on vehicles for that time.
When you enlist into another specialization, you are given a new set of things to focus on.
Once you complete everything, you can use the Armor Mod unlocked to enhance your playstyle. If you really liked the Operator specialization, you can use the Armor Mod you get from Operator to have more of a touch with vehicles.
So, technically, no. When you finish a specialization you don’t have to keep doing what that specialization instructed. But you can use the Armor Mod gained to help you enhance the playstyle offered by that specialization.

So in other words yes after I complete all of the specializations I will be able to pick and choose which one fits my personal play style?

Yes.
You can choose and use whatever thing you unlocked from the specialization to use in your loadouts. If you just finished Tracker, but stilled liked Operator, you can go back and use the Armor Mod Operator gave you to give you a more vehicle focused playstyle.

Thanks a ton! that’s a huge load off my mind! But I still don’t understand why they cant be unlocked as we progress? It just seems kinda like a step backwards IMO to have you wait until the end. And again I’m not flaming! I’m just voicing concerns. Honestly this is the only real concern I have had with halo 4 so far. Ather than the aesthetic look of the sniper rifle, but I will be able to adapt to that.
