Respect for the Spartan III"s

I know their not so “godly” as the II’s and is it just me or are the 4’s just seeming like a bunch of jocks in armor? o.o Anyway, the III’s just seem so cool to me because they are assigned a job and just do it so well even with all of these terrible odds against them. -shrug- that’s just me I suppose

Headhunters hoorah!

Yeah, I think SIIIs probably have the most balls. SIIs are basically empty vessels with no sense of value for their own life outside of their potential contribution to the next military operation. SIVs don’t believe they’ll be killed. SIIIs however, know the odds and yet they’re willing to still go on suicide missions to keep Earth safe.

In that last episode when they were like, “OMGZ i gotz the invis!” And “I gotz the lazer zord.”

I lost all respect for these dudes.

If you read the book “Ghost of Onyx” the Spartan III’s sacrifice more than any Spartan II, or Spartan IV.

SIII’s were usually emotionally damaged children/teenagers, such as orphans and victims of the war who were driven by revenge. Hence, why they were much more “reckless” on the battle field.

In some senses, this makes them a lot more human and, for lack of a better word, bad -Yoink-.

I feel like they are unexperienced big kids derping around as Spartans. I can’t take them seriously. I had more respect for SIIIs from the start. Spartan IVs are jokes.

Spartan IV’s are alright.

Their dialogue is pretty funny, and I think it’s important that they are different to Spartan II’s and III’s.

IMHO, the personality difference between the different classes of Spartans, highlights the different circumstance upon which they became Spartans to begin with.

From a story perspective, I think this is very important.

I respect those that were Spartan-II’s as well as Spartan-III’s but I truly admired ODSTs! They were not augmented, they were considered worthless compared to Spartans, and yet out of all the UNSC Marines, they took on the most dangerous jobs by dropping in their drop pods, on missions that other Marines would have called crazy or suicide! They push themselves to their limits to achieve whatever they can!

I have almost no respect for Spartan-IV’s, however. With the exception of Gabriel Thorne, they all treat the Spartan Program like it’s a joke. They take everything for granted, they immediately feel superior to others. And Sarah Palmer? Seriously? Up until now she has not taken any military actions, gone into battle, and just insult or bark orders at everyone. And her relationship with Halsey is just as bad as Bender and the principal from “The Breakfast Club”. GIVE THE DOCTOR CREDIT! YOU WOULDN’T EVEN EXIST IF IT WEREN’T FOR HER!

In short, S-IV’s are a bunch of adults playing make believe. ODSTs, S-II’s and S-III’s are the REAL soldiers we need.

I also enjoy the SP III’s because of there sense of self sacrifice for the greater good sort of like master chief except less lucky. also why are the ODST’s in this game so dumb they died in like two seconds in the last spartan ops.

I think Dalton only send the new toys to Crimson. =P

But yeah, the SIII are a bit underrated in my opinion, some of then were truly awesome, maybe as much as an SII.

Props to the threes. but just gotta point out Jeorge was a 2 and he wasnt a lifeless machine

They are effective as cannon fodder. I give them the respect that I give cannon fodder. No more, no less.

There are no ODSTs in Halo 4. Those were actually Spartan IVs.

Kinda shows how worthless they are…

Uh, no. Try again.

Better?

They’re staying lively in the face of war. What the hell is wrong with Spartan IV’s showing a little personality? Do you honestly expect fully grown military soldiers who weren’t kidnapped and trained from childhood to have as bold an exterior as the previous Spartans? Them joking around with the Elite’s equipment was a great scene, really distinguishing them from the overly serious vibe of the Covenant

What a nice way to describe the people who are meant to symbolize the courage and triumph of the human race.

But no. TRY AGAIN.

Courage and triumph of the human race my ***. They’re mindless dogs of the military, killing their own kind without hesitation or remorse if the mission requires it.

I respect the Spartan III soldiers. I think Spartan II’s are better and all, but the III’s just charge head first into a battle that they will most likely die in. The Spartan III program I hate though. They basically made Human bombs. They took kids, trained them, augmented them, made them great so that when they were just teenagers they could throw them at the Covenant and watch them get completely destroyed while causing as much destruction as possible. You have to give the Spartans themselves respect for doing that, but you have to hate the program for making teenage suicide soldiers.
