Hi guys am I the only one who seems to always respawn with my back to the enemy and usually into and explosion to be instakilled? I find it very frustrating as you have no way of reacting and end up dying numerous times if the enemy is sufficiently far enough not to flip the spawns and you respawn in the same spot.
Secondly, I have noticed recently that if I mêlée an enemy, I am instantly vulnerable even if I had been at full health and I connect but do not finish them off to being one shot by them or their teammates.
Finally I have noticed mid match that often if my team is way out in front the game seems to flip and all of a sudden I cannot finish enemies, even with their backs to me and yet I seem to be killed around corners having broken line of site. Is this some sort of lag compensation flip flopping between the teams? Or suddenly have my team who were 27 - 5 just taking their foot off the gas
The spawns are awful and some people are far unluckier than others. I watch twitch and the higher ranked players get more god spawns and are spawn killed less than others. I get spawn killed in ffa at least 4 times as much in the same gametime as others do and get a god spawn about as much less. It is infuriating beyond belief. When it and not your skill stops you ranking up it is horrible. Unfortunately others on the forums dont get this and start accusing you of being sour. Ignore this. By nature there will always be someone who gets luck all the time. And someone who gets unbelievably bad luck all the time. (I get 16 assists on ffa so often it is beyond a nightmare). I am one of them and you may be too im afraid
I honestly feel your pain. Plus being on the wrong server or lag could explain your melee issues and shots not connecting. Ive been there too. Playing on a server 3000 milrs away makes some games unplayable. Try to play when its peak time or your server. If you do your shots register better and you die less, meaning you font have to get so many diabolical spawns. Its all you can do.
If you see you are getting killed near your spawn then you are not immediately positioning yourself accordingly. When you find yourself in a spawn that isn’t to your liking, analyze your teammate’s positions and move towards that side of the map. The ones who run blind around a map are normally the ones who get 2v1, 3v1, spawn killed ect. Think of it like playing chess, if you move without looking at the board first, odds are you are going too lose.
Allen I understand positioning is key, but I have been taking damage as soon as I spawn in, often dying within a coople of seconds.
I was joined by a friend during matchmaking and ended up on opposite teams but still in party chat.
I asked them to describe what they saw to compare to my own experience. What was interesting is that it seems to support the lag hypothesis.
As I was waiting to respawn and the countdown commenced. Spawning in 3, 2, 1… on their screen I had already spawned and was just stood motionless, so one of the enemy players was taking potshots with a battle rifle.
At another point I was complaining of not being able to kill anyone. For me I was chasing an enemy and shooting them in the back as I went up the ramp. My friend said I was chasing but was a lot further behind and my shots were all missing. He reported I was killed before I reached the foot of the ramp, however from my experience I died at the top of the ramp having put an entire clip into the guys back.
Mate, I’ve played hundreds of games, and while sure, the odd spawn is a little less than desirable, 9 times out of 10 you’re far enough away from the pack to get your bearings and enter the battle on your terms.
As for the other instances you mention, sounds a bit like lag. I’ve never had it that bad though, and I’m playing from Australia.
