Respawn Times in Tactical Slayer (SWAT)

Something I found rather baffling is that Halo Infinite’s SWAT equivalent uses the same respawn timer as standard Slayer modes. And I think this should change.

I used to play SWAT on Halo 5 quite regularly, it was honestly one of my more favourite modes. And in previous iterations, it had a shorter respawn timer (3 second wait, IIRC) due to the much much higher time to kill, being able to dispatch foes with a single headshot.

However, Halo Infinite’s Tactical Slayer has the standard Slayer’s 8 second respawn wait. While for normal Slayer, 8 seconds is fine, I do not believe this is the same case for TS. Not only does this leave players waiting longer to get into, what is supposed to be fast action, high risk firefights, but it drags the overall match on longer due to fewer fights between players, as those who are defeated have to wait longer to participate.

If anyone on the 343 team reads this and can make a difference, I implore you guys to reduce the respawn timer for this otherwise great gamemode. Even a half reduction to a 4 second wait would feel much smoother and result in less “8 second wait, respawn, few seconds of gameplay, headshot, another 8 second wait.” It worked for Halo 5, and for the MCC modes of SWAT, I can’t see why it wouldn’t work for Infinite.
