Respawn Timers

As far as I know from some Arena gameplay, I’ve seen how long it takes to respawn. It takes 8 seconds for you to get back into the action after death. To me, that seems too long to wait. If you ask me, I would suggest anywhere between 1-3 seconds.

If I am mistaken and the respawn timers are faster in other modes, let me know. Otherwise, I’m hoping for a change based on feedback.

Correction: SWAT modes have a 1 second respawn timer. Not sure about other modes.

I believe the motive behind it is to try and balance out sprint. If I recall, instant respawns in H4 were a nightmare.

its fine as it is, if it was as fast as battlefront or COD it would be horrible.

Glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed. 3-5 seconds have always been the norm. 8 seconds feels way too long; it was like that in Halo 4, too.

It was 8 seconds in the beta wasn’t it.

8 seconds is fine. That means every death means something. Especially while playing objective gametypes. Also, it means getting an Extermination is possible again! :smiley:

If this is true then it feels fine.

8 Seconds respawn time much too long i wish dat 343 industries fix that really quick its annoying !

You guys are the reason halo has been dying. This isn’t cod. There is no place for instant/1 sec spawns in this game.

7 seconds is fine, it means you don’t just keep charging in like a maniac, I have learned to value each spawn a lot more and am enjoying the game more for it!

Yep says it all.
Timer is there to be a penalty, so u play as a team more.
Also gives you time to form a new plan of attack since the one you just tried failed.

You have to punish the players for dying, I agree, so 8 seconds are good in objective games. But in Team Slayer, your score is already punishing your death, so I think 6 seconds would be better here.

I agree with this quite a lot. Spawning really does feel like a long time.

Also in slayer it protects the team to some degree from stupid run and gunners. Keeps them out of battle for longer so they cost you less points.

Na i’m fine with it, 8 seconds seems to be just the right amount IMO.

I think the re-spawn timer is fine. Atleast it doesnt go to 0 then say waiting for spawn location like Destiny does.
