There was some concern that only those purchasing the Champions bundle would have access to the Resistor Tactical Package, thus making the assumption that there would be a ‘Pay to Win’ implementation. As stated in this weeks Halo Bulletin :

> The Champions Bundle will include a sneak peak to the Resistor armor mod, which allows players to retain full mobility despite taking fire for a few moments. The armor mod will eventually be made available to all players in Halo 4 Matchmaking free of charge.
As you can see, every player will have it available to them in time, much like how those that bought the Limited Edition had early access to all Specializations and those that did not had to wait for them to be released.
I figured they wouldn’t just stick with a “Pay to win” perk. Glad to know it’s available to everyone.
It also said something else interesting.

That implies that it’s only temporary. I’m guessing (and hoping!) it will only let you have full mobility for a second or two. That sounds a lot more balanced to me.

Not sure if it will be a time duration thing, or if it loses effect after a couple rounds hit, but it does sound slightly more balanced than running around all willy-nilly as if you had a sword equiped.

I imagine it would only be after a few shots, wish they could be more specific though.
Despite the fact I am still worried about the Armour Mod itself, this news comes as a massive relief.

They’re not too much of a problem if I know they’re coming. Sword users. Just keep them close where you want and BAM! Headshots after a pulse grenade.
I had my hopes for this and it seems its all well and right for this particular thing.
Hoping its only temp. Like you’re only allowed to take a certain amount of bullets and then you get slowed down. Problem is how would you make this work. Would it be used up in one life then you have to die for the effect to work again?

I’d say after a certain number of hits you start slowing down again. It is called RESISTor. Water resistant watches are only good for a few metres, then they stop working
I’ll be honest and say that I thought that’s what would happen. It makes sense, obviously, and it calms down many raged fans. Basically, you can pay for a whole bunch of stuff and get early access, or you can wait and get just that for free later. I think I’ll pay for it.
