This new perk needs to be removed immediately. It’s bad enough players can now be safely ejected out of their vehicle when it’s destroyed, now players can run through your bullets and plow right over you. On numerous occasions playing Ricochet yesterday I’m getting killed by sprinters with sword/shotgun who act like I wasn’t even there.
This is a stupid addition and has no place in the game. No one asked for this ability either, so why was this included? This makes it incredibly difficult to enjoy the game. The population is already suffering, why make it worse?
Can you imagine a Halo without perks?
…I can. I it is good.
You’ve always been able to do that with the Sword… but yeah I get where you’re coming from.
I think that all armor mods (perks) should go, but that’s not an option in the poll.
> I think that all armor mods (perks) should go, but that’s not an option in the poll.
I like the addition of new perks but playing some big team games I can imagine why ejecting players out of vehicles is a bad idea, someone got a direct hit with a laser on me while I was in a banshee, and he obviously didn’t get any kill, just a wasted shot
It’s almost like 343 are trying to annoy the fans as much as possible.
If you asked me to make a Halo game that was as anti-Halo as possible, and was going to anger the fans as much as possible, I would do almost everything that 343 has done.
> You’ve always been able to do that with the Sword… but yeah I get where you’re coming from.
Yeah, in Reach…
I’m really confused about the direction 343i is heading in with Halo. On one side, they go and give us a bunch of wonderful updates, such as the weapon tuning, re-addition of the red X, and a remake of the Pit, which hints at wanting to bring Halo back to its roots, but then they go and release things like Survivor and Resistor…
Honestly, Resistor is so terrible. It takes the most annoying part of the Sprint, and makes it even worse, which also happens to remove its only (minor) disadvantage. Now, people with Resistors can freely run away at will, and can charge into your face with a Sword without a care.
This perk is bad, and 343i should feel bad.
I like Sprint, but with Resistor, not as much, but I’m enjoying using the Thruster Pack to avoid the sword and deliver a hit to the back

He got a Banshee Destroyed medal.

Players have always been able to do that.

And again, with only reach. Halo 4 is abandoning the slow down mechanic and going back to Reach.
I never even knew that taking fire slowed you down and I’ve seen no difference in the number of “rushers” than I had before.

Actually it has been like this in Halo 4 since launch. Here’s a quote from the Sept.19th Bulletin:
> Chris - To Frank’s comment, I think one of the mistakes I see people making with our sword is that now that players move faster with Sprint by default, they assume they can just run at opponents and kill them with the lunge from far away. This is a mistake – you still need to be somewhat sneaky with it. That being said, if you can restrain yourself from going all Rambo and just use it in tight spaces, it’s as lethal as ever. Important changes include making it swing much faster than it has in the past and eliminating those pesky melee parries (no more “CLAAAAAANG!” unless the other person also has a sword). One final pro tip: when sprinting with normal weapons, if opponents shoot you, the shots will slow you down a tad. A sword wielding player is immune to this!
