So I had a weird thought of the Requisition Packs, I was mainly wondering what would be the main way to know for example if a weapon is only for Warzone or so other than the energy count or so.
Like say for example, I get the Assault Rifle with the energy bayonet, or the Silenced Battle Rifle / DMR. Could I use skins from other things on them and vice versa. Like if I get a Battle Rifle skin designed to include the silencer, can I use it on a regular one? Or say can I use or obtain a skin of one of the special weapons such as Kelly’s Shotgun and have it as a normal shotgun?
I’d also wonder if there are vehicle skins too. At least for Covenant or UNSC vehicles, I don’t exactly see how or why Prometheans would have skins, and forgive me if this thread already exist somewhere or so. I mean it’s just everyone goes on so much on other things it seems overlooked.
Req Packs can be earnt by playing Warzone or Arena and doing commendations too. Some stuff is warzone only such as cards to get vehicles or so in Warzone.
I was just wondering if some skins are only able to be on certain weapon types / models

We know that armor permutations gained in req can be used in arena. However, it is still uncertain if weapon skins, particularly those with combat augmentations, will be usable as pure cosmetic skins throughout.

I kind of wonder myself if some are limited to a certain type though.

I imagine they will be. Would be a bit silly to have a silenced BR that still has normal noise output, or a ×10 Marksman scope that zooms in to only ×2 in arena.
Still though, it’s a novel idea to hope they will be skinable across the board.

I mean in the regard of a BR skin not being available on a normal BR due to it’s made for a silenced BR

I don’t care so much about the permutations because obviously it would make no sense as mentioned above to have a silencer on a weapon and it still sound like a regular shot. I was thinking more along the lines of if i unlock a red assault rifle, can i use it in all multiplayer?
For example:
Gamestop pre order you get the Bloodthirst Battle Rifle. does it only work in warzone?
Weapon skins can be used on every variant of the same weapon, the skins can be used in both Warzone and Arena (in Arena only for starting weapns).
The variants themselves (such as AR with bayonette) are exclusive to Warzone and campaign (so far confirmed) but it coulde be that we will be able to place them in forge and use them in customs.
Things such as armour and armour skins, assassinations and stances will be available in Warzone and Arena.

The skins are seperate from the variants, so if you unlock a BR with silencer, then that weapon won’t have a skin on it by itself.
You will be able to choose a skin for your BR and then every BR variant will have that skin.
only aesthetic req packs will be useable in arena, you may be able to get the skin variation of the AR with energy sword bayonet in arena, but the weapon attachment itself will not be useable

I am unsure in that regard, That’d be like giving people a silenced BR or DMR that isn’t quiet.

Exactly, you won’t get a silenced BR or DMR in arena, you will only get the weapon skin
So you know that AR with the cool skin and the energy sword bayonet?
Well when playing warzone, you will get both the skin AND bayonet, in Arena, you will only get the skin
Weapon attachments will not be usable in arena, and thank sweet zombie jesus for that
My understanding (based off the pre-order bonus cards) is that some skins come with two modes:
One mode for when you use it in Warzone when it has attachments that affect gameplay.
Another mode for when you use it in Arena where it’s just the skin of the weapon, I imagine the attachments only appear if they don’t get in the way of normal arena gameplay (i.e silencer or energy bayonet will probably appear (and do nothing but look cool) but a massive scope or laser-sight probably wouldn’t because they’d simply get in the way).
I imagine these will be really valuable as they seem permanent.

My point though is say for example the AR with the Bayonet is the only one capable of having the skin shown on it, and not a normal AR, seems a tad pointless and I hope the skins are more freely accepted for every gun.

Maybe the cards are separate? Such as one is the skin and one is the weapon?
In reality from what I see and have heard there will only be a possibility for skins on loadout weapons which would be the AR and pistol/any starting weapon for map and maybe game type. There will be no reticles nor anything else that would be in warzone that would seem cheap, unfair and this is arena. This is all speculation don’t take it to heart but consider it because this may be done to balance some issues that Warzone would have. If they can or could the skins may be able to wrap around the gun you pick up if the load out does that. If not well there’s your answer different types of gameplay.

I imagine that there is a screen where you choose your characters customization and it includes skins for each gun potentially.
Some people are mixing this all up. The energy bayonet AR for example is not a “skin”. It is a different gun, got via a card in Warzone. Weapon skins can be used across all game types as they just change the look of your gun. I would imagine the variant weapons in Warzone have their own skins as they would need to look different and stand out.
As an example, no point in having a skin that look likes Kellys shotgun, on a regular shotgun.

Maybe, but I mean the skins that aren’t legendary rank.
