I’ve noticed that you can’t see the ceiling. Even when the sky is clear and blue, the ceiling appears invisible. Perhaps the Forerunners made it like that on purpose to have more of a correct feel for a planet rather than feeling like they are encased in a metal sphere?
Forerunner tech is the -Yoink-, man. What else is there to say?
Isn’t Requiem a fortress/shield world?

Fortress Worlds and Shield Worlds are the same, I think.
I really hope that it isn’t the case the whole game. It’s one of the things that would make the sky interesting. I was really hoping it would have been a dyson sphere because that would have made for some epic landscapes. I hope to at least see some of the metal sphere shining through the clouds here and their. Like some of the faded Halo skies.

I’m leaning towards requiem bing a fortress world, mainly because of the encasement.
Shield worlds appear normal on the surface with either a dyson sphere inside (onyx) or they’re hollow (shield world in halo wars)
Requiem is probably unfathomably huge, judging by what the terrain looked like in the E3 trailer. Being able to see the other end would probably be unrealistic without some type of high-powered telescope

This.

Well, you can’t see the other end because Requiem is a planet encased in an artificial shell as opposed to a dyson sphere.
In concept art and in shown gameplay you can see massive pillars everywhere heading straight up into the sky supporting the ceiling.
