I would really appreciate it if someone would mentor me in the Arbiter or Cutter. I’m trueskill 25ish 1v1 and am just recently breaking into 2s and 3s. I have been playing with Anders.
What I can trade:
If you are in summer school for college or high school, I will edit papers. I just graduated from UW Madison with an English Literature degree and I can edit papers like nobody’s business.
I’m fairly well read so if you’re interested in talking books, I’d love to talk books.
Thanks for the help, Wars community. Just add me as a friend and send me a message.
Conveniently the only 2 leaders I play are cutter and arbiter, and I’m teaching my IRL friend anyways, so feel free to add me up. Gamertag is the same as my name. And I don’t need anything from you, so it’s all good.
Wolfi, I don’t fully know what you mean.
i run wars ftw, hopefully I’ll see you on sometime this wknd. Thanks ahead of time. I have to practice editing papers for career stuff so you’d actually be helping me out if you had any. No big deal if you don’t.
Whoa. Magic Butter. I just graduated this spring from UW Madison too. Thumbs up! Although I got a degree in Rehabilitation Psychology. I just had to comment. lol

lol this made me laugh for 5 minutes. What could this person be like in real life?
Trooper Dawga: What are the odds? Last night’s lightning storm was RIDICULOUS.
Twoclose4comfrt: What kind of person could this be in real life? Glad you asked. I’m looking for a job in editing and publishing, and the best way to fine tune one’s editing skills is to edit as much as possible. It is a neat way to combine something that I do for fun with an activity that helps me with my career. As for “talking books,” that one isn’t that complicated: I like to talk about books…and often times people that like to talk about books prefer other people that like to talk about books.

If you’re really bad, an old, basic general guide. It’s pretty dense in helpful information for newbs, but there’s a lot of generalizing and flat out incorrect things, so read with a grain of salt.

A longer guide. There’s sure to be redundancy, but you should probably re-read some of the things anyways, because they really are important. Its a little old, has some inaccuracies.
1v1 Guides. These cover higher level strats; if you don’t have good fundamentals, these will only help so much.

General UNSC 1v1 Guide. Written by a great player, but only goes over some basic builds for most matchups involving unsc. Stud’s goes over anders better, but the forge and cutter strats in the orginial post plus Soupy’s cutter build on Tundra are helpful.

I guess i was more amused and entertained by the notion of a person offering to edit papers/“talk about books” as a trade for specific video game tips. Lol…what is this, a hippie flea market? You’re killing me dude lol
Hey Butter,
All you need to know about Cutter: elephant rush. the build is simple:
SP-SP-SP-SP-SP-SP-SP-SP
Buy and elephant in there somewhere. plop it down near the base. pump out dudes. Shoot, maybe throw a spartan in for good measure. I’ve done this strategy a total of 5 times on some pretty mediocre people and i’ve only lost about 3 times. Arguably one of the best strats out there.
So, more technically the build is:
SP-SP-(ELEPHANT)-SP-SP-SP-WIN
