I’ve made this thread since I want to request a downloadable version of The Return’s soundtrack.
The Return is perhaps my favourite animation or video of the series of Halo. It tells such a compelling tale and the music only further empowers this effect. Sadly I do not think that the soundtrack is downloadable or puchaseable. I’m wondering if 343 Industries and ONE will be planning to release the songs soon.
If you wait long enough for them to finish animating the rest of Halo Evolutions they may release the soundtrack for all of them at once. The Return is actually a story from this book, look it up if you want to read it, and get all the background information on what’s happening in it.
My favorite so far is actually Mona Lisa. Though I can’t wait to see them do the Brute one.
I am already aware that The Return is part of the Halo Evolutions Series. Alot of the content from the animation was cut from the original story such as the Prophet of Conviction in-humane scream as the Sangheili announced their secession and the fact that the unamed Shipmaster thought to himself about how a groupful of Humans could take down a monstrosity known as a Mgalekgolo (Hunter)
I’m just eager to obtain this group of songs as they represent the Aftermath of Halo 3 and the destruction of a planet really well.

Yeh, I’m one of the Machinima Directors. I have an idea that is heavily related towards The Return.
Anyway, its a shame since almost all of the songs in The Return are overlapped by dialogue within the animation. So here’s wishing to some videos that hold the songs exclusively or even better the purchasable version of the songs or Soundtrack…

The Return is one of the only adaptations that does not use the current Halo Soundtrack unlike The Heart of Midlothian which uses the Halo Wars and Halo Legends soundtracks.
Well, although my dear friend King Sangos is now in possession of it, I’m working on a public release of the songs right now. In the meantime, visit Paul Lipson (the Composer) at his SoundCloud to listen to it (also the source of where I retrieved the music), as well as “Headhunters” and “The Mona Lisa” (Episodes 3, 6 & 7): Stream plguitar music | Listen to songs, albums, playlists for free on SoundCloud
You’ll find it on either “Bizargh” or “Bizarchivist” on YouTube when it is ready.
EDIT: Oh gracious me! I forgot the link! It’s there now. I’ll return when this music has been properly “YouTubed”.

Why? There was absolutely no reason to revive a thread 2 years old.
