So I’m relatively new to this game (just got an Xbox One on Black Friday). As I understand, there was a certain time where 343 had Mythic weapon packs available for purchase? I would give anything for the opportunity to get the Prophet’s Bane certification. Is there any chance that 343 would do this again for those of us who are newcomers who are looking for the same opportunities that have been provided in the past to longer-time players?
If it ever does happen again, it’ll be in September. Thats when the last “Month of Mythic” was and chances are if its an annual thing it’ll be at the same time. It was 10 dollars or 100,000 to buy one pack so if you’re lower SR chances are you couldn’t get it unless you were willing to pay which theres honestly no need for. If you grind a bit and even buy silver packs you can get some awesome weapons, even some of the best to be honest. Few examples include Blood of Suban, Answer, Blaze of Glory, pro pipe and the best weapon in Warzone, the Whiplash! Grind your way through man, no need to pay with money. I do understand your urge to play with mythic weapons, next best thing would be super fiesta where you can sometimes spawn with them
I’m waiting for a Phaeton pack for 100,000 pts. I’ve got about 1,300,000 saved.

Neither did I, my bad for the misinformation! On the website you can also get the other Mythic REQs too (Nornfang, Gavel, SPNKR Prime) if you search in the bar

I think that they blew this way out of proportion. I didn’t buy any MoM packs and I still played Warzone and the experience didn’t change at all for me. In fact, I had more opportunities to use these mythic REQ’s because people spammed them and got killed by conventional means. A Railgun still stops you in your tracks.
Also, Late Night Gaming is famously known for being… dramatic. I don’t like listening to him because he doesn’t sound entirely stable…

Agreed - there were so many more of those reqs (especially Prophet’s Banes). Same thing happened with the new wasps & Monitor’s Bounty

Dude is intense no doubt, but i guess thats part of his persona? Not gonna lie though that last part cracked me up hahaha
It was packs that only gave you the certification for a certain mythic weapon, not a random mythic or several.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they did it again. Mythic weapons are definitely desirable and I’m sure they made a lot of money the last time.
I agree that they should be available for REQ points.
I honestly hate those packs, those reqs are supposed to be very rare and game changing but when everyone is running around with them whats the point?
