Request for shield visual reduction

After looking at the multiplayer footage and seeing how the new shields react and glow yellow, I feel it’s a little much and could be fairly visually distracting in multiplayer.

I do think the visual cue of the area being hit glowing slightly brighter is a nice addition, but it still seems overall much too bright.

I could also see this visually clash with the new outline system and cause more confusion and accidental betrayal potential when someone is getting hit and glowing yellow?

I personally would like to see the color go back to the more subdued blue palette and a reduction of brightness on both the HUD and the player model.

Perhaps even better would be to allow the color and brightness to be changed in the options menu?

Does this seem off to anyone else? Maybe I just don’t like the color yellow :joy:

It does seem very bright, it might have been exaggerated for the trailer a bit though. Hopefully we will have a bit of proper gameplay soon to see what it looks like in reality.

I do not see it at all annoying, in fact I really like the style they have given it. They can always put an option to reduce it in case you do not want to see so much.

I would also favor a less intense flash of yellow, and a less intrusive shield recharge where the hexagons take up our peripheral vision.

you have to consider this, the shield pop needs to be noticable with any coating applied in all modes. I do think the brightness of the final shield pop should be reduced slightly but overall I am fine with the visual feedback on the shields getting hit
