[Request]Establish double experience indefinitely.

Greetings to all.

I’ll be brief, I recall that 343 Industries recently confirmed to us that both the Halo 5 multiplayer support, as well as the new content support for Halo Wars 2, had been finalized. (I don’t know if I’m making a mistake, if so, I apologize.)

If so, I would like to ask 343 about the possibility of activating double experience in multiplayer indefinitely. It would not have to be in all game modes, it could be only in WarZone mode, but I think it is a card that should be put on the table and start considering.

Not only in this sense, but in what the future of Halo 5 multiplayer awaits. We see that TMCC is receiving and will continue to receive a lot of support. But Halo 5 won’t be in TMCC nor is it expected, so what can we expect in the future with Halo 5 multiplayer?

I’m assuming you want double XP to make it easier to hit 152 to get that reward in Infinite. It has been touched on in multiple threads, but doing so is only going to dilute the value of the reward. It’s something meant to reward people who played the game, not just another thing to hand out.

That is a reason, but I don’t think that being me in Sr 66 I will get it with double exp. It would also see nice if they just doubled the points to buy supplies. And make it easy to get all the content.

But since we are here, I would like to take the opportunity to propose what is going to be done with its multiplayer. Is it going to be left as is?

Yes, it will be left as is based on what 343i has stated in the past. The last update they did was the Overtime Update in late 2017 (which ruined the sandbox). Since then, it has been just playlist updates and occasionally introducing XP multipliers.

No!! Why do we keep bringing up the same topic over and over again… this is a terrible idea. What your asking for is a handout to make it easier for you to join the 152 club so you can enjoy the rewards (such as they are and not the topic of this thread) in Halo Infinite. Earn it like the rest of us are… by playing the game the old fashioned way without 2xp… permanent legendary boosts in the store… or anything else. The game has been out for five years and there’s not really an excuse to for you to not be 152 by now. I’m not 152 yet and I don’t blame 343 in the slightest nor am I looking to them to make it easier for me to reach 152. It’s my fault I got into Halo 5 MP late, and it’s up to me to make it to 152 on my own. Granting 2xp now would be a slap in the face to everyone who’s earned before us and would do more harm than good to the halo community. Sure more people would get to 152, but it’s the casual fans who would make it, the hardcore halo fans who already made it would feel slighted by 343 and look elsewhere to take their fandom and support. If you want to reach 152, play the game (use boosts if you choose) and play to have fun. I am… For all it’s shortcomings and as much as the game frustrates from time to time, I love playing it still, and that’s after racking up over 30 game days and almost 4.5k thousand matches. Leave it alone… don’t cheapen the game by cowering to those who are looking for a handout.

Boosts are supposed to fulfill that function, this is not Battlefront 1, the most I have won with xp in warzone of 15000 and 20000 maximum, if they put the double experience it would be easier to get the Infinite prize.
I also want to reach level 152, but it would be easier if what you ask was done.

In my opinion, I would not like to see this suggestion become a reality mainly due to the reason that it will spoil the value of the final rank in Halo 5 as it would cut the time investment required for the final rank by a half. In addition to that, it would also devalue the effort that everyone spend ranking up in Halo 5.

Just like everyone else here has stated - this has been talked about many many times and my answer will always remain the same. This will only dilute Halo 5’s multiplayer levelling system & most importantly take away the “status symbol” that is rank 152.

To be honest there have been plenty of 2XP events, XP pack giveaways and more over the last year. Right now is the easiest it has ever been to level up. It doesn’t need to get any easier.

Honestly, you don’t really get anything for levelling up for XP rank other than a few emblems and a mediocre REQ pack. One of the reasons 152 is so gruelling is because you don’t really get rewarded for it - it’s for those who really loves playing the game.
If there’s going to be any double hand outs it should be REQ points. At least you can use them for something.

The moment 343i activate a permanent 2XP is the moment anyone’s effort and time spent playing to hit max rank is immediately devalued.

Ok, I see that for many it is very important to have that plate of exclusivity with the highest level. Let’s propose another option, and after the launch of Halo Infinite?

SR 152 rewards are no longer available. And you leave the option to whoever wants to be able to get the unlockables that remain. What would be wrong with this?

I’ve been grinding since September and it’s only been in the store once at the end of December.

I don’t think it should return very often though as it will basically rub it in the faces of those who either got 152 before “the grind” or those who were high enough from playing enough before stopping.

I started again at 146 so haven’t been too far off, but it should be for those who either have kept playing Halo or played it a lot years ago instead of jumping on the grind. That’s why it feels tedious, it wouldn’t to those who played it for fun before.

Sorry to dampen the mood but there will be backlash from the 3000 odd 152s if they add the packs in regularly.

Basically, keep it a long hard grind, keep them exclusive to 152s to those that put in the work before being told about the rewards.
