In the other halos, FFA had 6 players. In this it is 8. More players combined with small maps creates a huge clusterf. Also makes the spawning atrocious.
Completely agree. People spawning in front of me or not even being able to move out of spawn is a problem.
I support this 100%, 8 players is just too many. Makes it too hard to get a decent spree going without someone spawning right behind you.
agree. FFA is just chaotic right now.
we did some 5 players FFA custom. and this just was perfect. max 6 -> yesss
100% support. I believe in H3 lone wolves was 4-6 players and it played extremely well. 8 players should be in a social arena unranked playlist.
8 is fine in my opinion. More people to slaughter
Simply put, the majority of these maps and the FFA playlist are not made to play 8 people in an FFA. Additionally, if you kill someone, having that same person spawn extremely near you and kill you before your shields have a chance to recharge is ridiculous, and that happens way too often to be disregarded. I understand that MLG FFA’s have always been played with 8 players, and it’s a great idea to implement some sort of MLG aspect into casual playlists, but a play style like that is completely different, ipso facto deserving its own playlist. Because this is not a “hardcore” playlist, it shouldn’t have the settings of one. I propose that we revert back to the Halo 3 Lone Wolves settings and save the 8 player settings for a more competitive FFA.
Yeah 8 seems to be a bit much. When the spawns in team slayer aren’t even acceptable it’s confusing why 343 would think 8 people in a free for all would be okay.
