so, I recently got Halo 5 (i know, kinda late.) and i heard that there were some special REQ packs for doing special things. However i’d love to know if any of those are still active (Helljumper by watching nightfall, for example) or if there are any new ones!

Nightfall actually gives you the Nightfall armor, not Helljumper.
Anyway, you can get Helioskrill from completing all the MCC campaigns on Legendary and getting the Legend achievement. Helioskrill is based off of Elite designs, so it’s one of the more ornamental armors in the game.
You can get Achilles by grinding out all the kill commendations in a Spartan Company. This often takes months if not years, so don’t hold your breath when you do join a company.
You can get Timmy by putting in 50 hours in Customs. Timmy is a rarer armor than most, so it’s a nice addition to your collection.
By far the rarest helmet, Olive, can only be earned by getting a forge map you made into matchmaking. Now this is a prestigious helmet.
You can get emblems for completing commendations. You can get some out of RNG packs, but most are commendation based. There are some that are earned by ranking up.
You can get the Ice Unicorn 343 skin by matching the 343 community playdate team in matchmaking. 343 does weekly social streams where they go on matchmaking, so keep an eye on those if you want this skin.
The Fire Unicorn skin can only be earned if one of your creations is featured in the Halo Community Update here on Waypoint.
Also from the MCC, you can get Mark VI Scarred by completing Cairo Station on Halo 2 Anniversary.

As far as I know, Helioskrill is now available through REQ packs (to the ire of all those who completed through MCC beforehand). Other than that, good list.
