One question pondering my mind about the inventory behind the REQ system is: Can all of those items; the weapon variants, the skins, the armours, etc. be accessed in Custom Games without unlock?
An example of this in action would be Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops, where all unlockable items; weapons, perks, attachments, and even weapon skins, for the Multiplayer could be fully accessed in Private Match settings (Which I believe has since carried on for other Call of Duty titles as well, if not just Treyarch’s Black Ops series). Or in another context, akin to that of VR Training areas as seen in PlanetSide 2 or Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, in which players can freely tinker with the full game’s inventory to test & evaluate them for their use or desire to acquire.
With the extensive amount of customisation on offer and, frankly speaking, the notable limitations of play introduced such as the removal of Split-Screen & Native LAN and the absence of Warzone and/or it’s maps & assets in the Custom Game & Forge mode, it would be a blast to be able to have non-matchmade fun with the goodies in creative ways without the slavering grind & RNG of the REQ system putting a dent in Custom Game gatherings, regardless of intent of play. Plus, it would serve a practical purpose for anyone wishing to test such inventory akin to that of the previously mentioned VR Training modes in a controlled environment, which no doubt would be weapon reviewers or community balance/bug testers’ best friend.
