Req Usage Willingness

How would you gauge your willingness to use reqs? I’m usually hesitant in WZ just because it’s so easy for enemies to pick them up and use them against your team, same (and much worse) with vehicles. I use them much more liberally in WZFF just because I can manage usage and try to get the most out of a particular req. How do others approach their reqs?

Use first - Ask questions later.

I already have everything in the game, so I’m not too worried or put much thought into getting reqs. If I see a good opportunity to use a req, I’ll use it.

Me personally, It depends on the rarity. I would hesitate to spawn in a Halo CE Magnum, but not a Blood of Suban. Also, I do contribute the risk factor. Yeah, I’m more of a target to kill, but hopefully i can dish out the damage to make up for my somewhat ineveitable death.

When playing warzone firefight, it bothers me that people hesitate to use reqs because there’s like no way to win without using them, especially the vehicle reqs. Not so much as concerned in regular Warzone, although it does play a factor if people use the power weapons and vehicles to their advantage,

My thoughts.

If people would finally understand that we need REQs in the last rounds of firefight, there would be a lot less lost games.
I usually play with 2 other friends, and it’s really frustrating when we’re the only 3 spawning something stronger than a ghost

I highly agree with you. It’s annoying, aggravating, and frustrating to see people shoot at a Mythic Warden Eternal with DMR’s and Battle Rifles. Spawning in Req weapons doesn’t help either because they have limited ammo. You use all 10 rounds in your SPNKr prime, then what? You go back to shooting your BR’s and AR’s.

Try winning a game of WZFF without a Req vehicle. 9 times out of 10 you will fail.

I’m less willing to use power weapons than I am for vehicles. Vehicles are my life in Halo. At least vehicles blow up. But power weapons get stolen. And I hate feeling robbed.

I use reqs when I feel that I need more power or to fill a role

An unfortunate truth really. There’s almost a meta to it isn’t there?

Most of the time I am like 90% unwilling to use most of my REQs out of fear that I will die and either A.) Someone else will steal it or B.) It will despawn. I’ll use REQs when I feel I’m in a position to at least get a few kills off it so that it won’t go to waste. But if I’m getting cored or I know a particularly bullet-spongy boss is coming with a million 100% accuracy bots helping him, you can forget it.

Precisely. I almost feel like there should be some protection around valuable reqs…like if you spawn a Nornfang, only teammates can pick it up if you drop it.
