Req System Is Unfair

Ok so we all now that req packs are supposed to be random but here’s the thing they are not. What I mean by this is that they tend to give you a certain type of weapon or vehicle over…and over…and over again. For example I know for a fact that everybody reading this has/gets an absurd amount of scout warthogs and gungooses due to the fact that these req packs are not at all what 343 puts them out to be. I know behind all that algorithm some items are bound to pop up more than others which I think is BS. Not only are we limited of using various weapons due to req packs, we are also limited due to the fact that 343 feels its all right to screw over their fanbase by increasing the chance of certain reqs instead of making the reqs truly random. The req system is already frustrating as it is and I am certain this is one of the many money ploys 343 uses to get people to buy more packs because the more useless items we get, the less fun/useful reqs else we get. The more I play this game the more I feel swindled.

Edit: I know common items are supposed to appear more than uncommon items. I am saying that some common items appear more than other common items, or more rare items appear more than other rare items, Kinda like each tier has a sub-tier or something.

Its called req packs with random vehicle/weapon for a reason.
If you want to be the coder for doing the rng for the randomisation for the weapons and vehicles by all means help them

I don’t think you know how the system works entirely. It is actually fairly complicated, but I suggest you research some more.

It seems random to me… especially since today I got a phaeton in a certification pack… yep a legendary req. Yea some come up way more that others but that is way some are rare, ultra rare etc etc etc…

Do the math, show me the algorithm they use to support your claim.

Thats the point they arent random. If there are 30+ weapons/vehicles I can get from a silver pack then how come all I get is needlers and scout warthogs? Do you understand now?

So youre telling me you dont have/get an unusual amount of needlers, scout warthogs, gungooses, and/or mongooses, compared to other items.

This guy still doesnt get it…
You are buying silver packs
What do you expect ?? PHAETONS, PROPHET BANES ?? NO
Its already in the description that it contains common to rare reqs if i remember correctly
-.- -.- -.-

They are random in a sense but it seems very obvious that the system has it so some items appear less, or more depending on the item.

In the sense that they are common and weighted differently, yes. In the sense that it is a conspiracy not so much.

That’s strange considering I hardly get needlers/scout warthogs/etc anymore because I almost have all the weapon/vehicle certs. now. If you only open up bronze and silver packs, then don’t expect anything phenomenal. I used to think just like this, but I don’t anymore. Keep playing the game and get more weapon/vehicle certs. and you’ll start to get a bigger variety or them.

because each weapon has its own specified number in which gives it a higher chance to be chosen. Random means “chosen without method or conscious decision” you are not purposely given those reqs. Sure you have a higher chance of receiving them but you you are not guaranteed them. Since the lower reqs are not guaranteed as well as the higher rarity ones it is random whether you like it or not.

Thats the point they arent random, If they can do this then Im sure they have it so some items appear less which in turn makes it less random and more fixed to what 343 wants us to have.

I rarely get Needlers/Scout Warthogs/whatever you’re complaining about in Silvers. I usually get those in Bronze.

This guy still doesn’t understand the concept of rarity, certification and the rarity content of the packs

They list them as Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra Rare, Legendary etc. They’ve been up front with that. Think of it like one of those ball-popper machines that they draw lottery numbers out of it. Except there are a lot more 1s and 2s in it than 9s. What number you get is still random (hypothetically) but there is a higher weight to common numbers (1 and 2) than legendary numbers (9).

Those two statements contradict each other. If I have a higher chance of receiving one rare item compared to another rare item then that is not random. I understand that common items should appear more than uncommon items but that is not what im arguing about. Again there are more items than just the previously stated ones, so how come I never get those other items?

I understand the point of rarity and certifications. I have most of my arsenal up to rare certified (I need like 4 more rare weapons certified). Look at my more recent response above. That is what I mean. How come I get more needlers/scout warthogs than railguns, they’re both common?

It is random (IE: Not predetermined or specifically chosen) the pool you are drawing from is not evenly distributed. Imagine you have a fish tank with 27 coy. 15 goldfish, 5 Hylian Loachs, and a single Frog. If you dip a net in and pull one creature out. You have made a random selection from the pool. You are more likely to end up with a coy than the frog. Randomness does not mean there is an even chance of getting each option.

Did you ever stop to consider the req energy you need for each weapon/vehicle? Of course you’ll get more weapons/vehicles that only require req 1-3 energy than 4-6 energy
