I gotta question… as a long time RTS fan will we be seeing the Req System being integrated into the Halo Wars 2 game?
If so than in my opinion I would consider this something that would make me reconsider buying it myself. I know people that will regardless but personally this is something that in my opinion would be a huge turn off from me going forward and getting the game. I am pretty sure that there are others that may share in my opinion.
I refuse to pay for req packs I refused to do it in halo 5 and will do the same in halo wars which I will buy used so Microsoft gets none of my money.rts will not work with req pack system it will be pay to play to win system will screw me and others who can’t afford and won’t put hundreds of dollars into a game. I’ll buy it for the story.the’re ruining a game that could’ve of been great on both console and pc which before this I was planning on buyin both on separate disk I like having physical copys of my games.I think this is first thing the intire community agrees on That microtransactions suck and a horrible idea for an rts.
Sorry for grammar issues typing on my phone can’t go back and proofread like I usually do
The REQ system will not be implemented into Halo Wars 2. But a similar microtransaction system will be in the game for one, casual gamemode. You can unlock or buy card packs to permanently unlock units in this mode, check out Ready Up Live on YouTube, they explain it in more detail.

The only reason I don’t like RUL or Greenskull (Besides the fact he’s a socialist and a proud traitor to my country) is because all his videos are in support of everything. He only says nice things which makes me wonder if he is paid or sponsored by 343. His videos are always biased. I personally can’t take anything he says seriously.

Master of rofleness also has videos about hw2 blitz game mode and he personally doesn’t have an opinion on 343 if that helps.

Wow. Things like this are scary. It is SO sad that the community has people like that to listen to pretty much exclusively. Why is he even so popular??

He markets himself well.

That’s understandable.
Honestly, if you’re nervous about Microtransactions wait till it releases and see how they work by checking it out online. Console RTS isn’t the most popular genre so its not going to run out of stock in shops any time soon after release.

It’s big for me Lol
At least you didn’t jump the bandwagon and start hating 343 like most people. i’ll state the given info and theoretical implications. you can make your own judgements from that.
- Yes it will have Micro-transactions. What annoys me more is that they are also doing Paid DLC. I’m hoping it’s something like Gears of wars 4, where the maps are available for everyone in matchmaking but to play the maps in custom or skirmished against AI you need to buy the DLCs.
- The Microtrans are based around ONE game mode, take this into consideration as this is pretty vital i’d say. The entire Microtrans is based around One Game mode and has absolutely nothing to do with any other parts of the game. As it’s an RTS it has nothing much on customisation so you don’t have to worry about REQ packs ruining the unlock system.
- The game mode in question is known as Blitz. It is a casual mode designed for people who are not familiar with the RTS genre or are not fans of the RTS genre. Their are multiple spots on the map which can be taken, think of something like strongholds. You have a deck of cards and you can spawn troops and use abilities at a cost of energy which you gain through time and scavenging from the maps. So in other words something along the lines of Clash royal and Hearthstone.
- The cards, for the Blitz mode, can be unlocked through the campaign, commendations and challenges. If you have ever played Clash Royal or hearthstone you’d see that you are not forced to or pressured to buy the packs, and i assume it will be the same for HW2.
- The packs you can buy will give you cards, and the cards are permanent. Any duplicates you unlock will go to upgrading the cards. The amount of cards needed to upgrade it will increase by the cards lvl. So Lvl 1 cards will require two duplicates to lvl, lvl 2 will require more and more.
- Packs, so far, have been seen to give 5 cards. So in theory, paying for packs will give you head start but will be an absolute waste of money later on unless you are loaded and are going to put in thousands.
- Taking the entire Micro-trans and Blitz away from the game will not affect the game in any way. It will still offer a complete $60 worth of AAA game experience, or at least it should.
I personally am looking forward to the Bltiz game mode and don’t really care about the Micro-trans. And i also don’t think it’s gonna be a pay to win game mode. However personally believe that to not get the game, or thinking it’s a bad game because of this is stupid. if you want to know more i’d say check out green skull, since you aren’t a fan of his you can check out Chief Canuk.

Not a fan of Chief Canuck. He is apart of RUL and isn’t a very good person over all. I’ve had many discussions with him on various topics and he extremely arrogant and indifferent. (Not trashing or hating just stating why I’m not his biggest fan)
I’m much more of a Act Man or Fayvan fan. They back all their videos with facts and information and they don’t sit on either side of the fence, they literally dance on the fence. (If you get my analogy)
Paid DLC… Am I dreaming?! I <3 Paid DLC! Oh this’ll be my new found love! Prepare the party hats and streamers! Thank you 343 and Creative Assembly!

Well you see all the people supporting Hillary? Yeah that’s all the proof you need that it’s all about marketing. Even check Facebook pages or twitter accounts.
It’s all about suckering em in and bleeding the dry… even see what 343 did with Halo 5 and advertising? It’s all about good marketing and deadlines.

I know. Is too sad. What the world is coming to… I don’t like it.

Cut for J.B was one thing… Don’t make a ‘cut for Halo’ a thing now… For the love of humanity.

Don’t worry you don’t get what I’m referencing… Its probably against the rules so I can’t put it here.
