Req store is a pay-to-win random mess.

^ This guy -Yoink- all over OP’s face. I have fought his team twice. It is absolutely enraging.

*simply because he landed a good gold pack and got the ONI Scorp/Mantis by pure chance. You can easily lose those vehicles too, whether you bought them with REQ points or actual currency. Like everyone is saying, it all comes down to the player and how well they can utilize their requisites.

Thanks for the kind words, gg <3.

It is because of teams dominating like his that I am of the opinion that fireteams should be limited to 6, not the current 12.

The only Reqs I use are the Sniper and Rocket Launcher. Other than that I just sell everything. More points for more Reqs for more permanent unlocks.

It’s “pay for a slight advantage” not “pay to win”. You have to be good with the weapons and vehicles to make any difference anyway. Plus you can only use it in WarZone after attaining a certain REQ level.

“Damn it, I am a cero-IQ console gamer that has nothing better to do than to spend 100 bucks on friggin REQ Packs! I want them to be worth something to kid myself while bashing PC gamers and saying their gaming platform is costly as the hypocrite I am!”

> You don’t have to pay. Plus I don’t get why it is bad to have to play the game and work towards collecting the items. Isn’t that in like…every video game ever? Why would we expect a video game to just give us what we want? What would be the point then? Plus you can easily win if you don’t have that stuff yet, I’m sure people on your team do. I hardly ever get to use anything good on my reqs. I pull out a weapon and get shot. I pull out a tank and instantly get someone blowing me up. And yet without me using them, we still win.

You’re right, they shouldn’t just give us what we want, but if we put the time and effort into earning req points, we should get to have some choice in what we get. I’ve been having a blast with this game since I got my Banshees pilot certification and started getting tons of Banshees in my req packs. Have only been playing a week. Meanwhile, my brother, who’s been playing since the game came out, doesn’t have any vehicle certifications better than a gauss hog. He’s getting tired of spending almost every match on foot or in vehicles that are useless without a competent gunner/driver. If his luck doesn’t improve soon, he’s gonna get sick of Halo 5 and move onto some thing else. If enough other players have the same experience, it’s going to kill the player count.

If I could drop 5.00 for individual req cards of my choosing, like a scoped battle rifle or wraith certification, I would probably wind up dropping $20+ on certifications and weapon mods. But since I have no idea what I’m spending my money on when I get a req pack, I won’t even pay 2.99. It’s like they’re trying to dupe people into gambling their money away. “You spent a hundred bucks and still didn’t get that weapon mod or certification you wanted? Why don’t you spend another 100 on req packs. And if you don’t get it then, spend even more money!” If you’re spending money on this crap, I highly recommend staying away from casinos, because you might be a gambling addict.

So rather than getting money that I would otherwise be willing to spend, they get nothing.

There called fireteams now? I thought they were called parties, boy am I old.

It’s more luck based rather than pay to win.
Lots of people spend a good chunck of cash and don’t get much. So can’t really say it’s P2W

nope, I’m lv 28 and still don’t have an energy sword, the one req ive been always trying to get.

lv 6 has prophets bane because he spent 500$ on reqs

halo 5 is pay to win. period.

I haven’t spent a single penny on REQ packs and yet I still have little trouble playing well in Warzone.

technically its not, if it were pay to win, people would be able to pump in tanks in the first minute because they bought it, the req system stops this and even drains the energy so that you have to earn it again.

I have spent $35, 3 gold and 1 of that premium thing. Made me look forward to Mondays…

Then buy req packs when you know what you are going to get… Narrow your odds down. Stay determined. Grinding for req points is easy. No one is even asking you to pay 2.99 for a gold pack. If everything is EASILY unlocked by grinding req points then its not P2W. It would be P2W if a weapon would take forever to get and a quick easy way was buying that weapon. And that weapon was the OP -Yoink- of weapons, and the weapons you start with for free sucked hard and you get wrecked nonstop because everyone bought the OP god weapon. Then it forces you to buy that weapon so you can actually compete with others or else you get trashed hard. Pretty sure that isn’t the case here. Every weapon even higher tier versions of weapons are balanced. It depends on the user. If everyone was complaining about being sniped when they just brought in a power weapon, then I’m pretty sure no weapon is stronger than other. You do not have to pay for stronger weapons. You can easily grind for new weapons.

The things is, that energy sword you covet, isn’t going to guaruntee you a win. Neither is that level 6’s prophets bane.

In either case, the use of those weapons will likely be inconsequential to the outcome of the match. I win the majority of the matches that I’m in and haven’t paid a dime. On the flip side of that, I see streamers who spent tons get wrecked all the time…

At the end of the day, it’s how well you use your Loadout weapons that typically determines how you and your team will fair…

It isn’t exactly pay to win, as its very easy to earn Req packs through regular play.

Really? I’m pretty sure I got prophet’s bane for free

War zone is by far not pay too win. If I have 34 tanks and you have 3 I’m still going too use max 2 that game. And if someone rolls out with an hog with that explosive chain gun pop the gunner 4 times in the head he is dead. Not forgetting for every win I get around 4-5k req points and around 3.5k for losing so it is not hard nor takes along time to get gold packs

You can’t get up to 4 or 5k if you win. Max is 3k without boosts… Unless you use boosts that gives you a crap load.
