Req Selling Proclivities

Which Reqs do you normally get rid off without using, just to make some points to buy Req Packs?

I flog off Covenant or Promethean items that can be easily picked up in Warzone, like Plasma Pistols, Boltshots, Suppressors or vehicles that I can’t make good use of like unarmed Mongooses (Mongeese?). Some power weapons that I can’t use effectively for mass murder of AIs foes like Beam Rifles too.

What’s your approach, just want to get ideas.

I only sell Rocket Turrets and Gauss Turrets.

Power Weapons:

  • All Boltshots, Storm Rifles, Suppressors, Plasma Turrets, and Rocket Pods - All basic offerings except for Railgun, Spartan Laser, Gravity Hammer, Energy Sword, and Chaingun Turrets - Rain of Oblivion, Lawgiver, River of Light, Appetite for Destruction, and Arrow of Time - Oathsworn, CE Magnum, and Whispered Truth - Random Weapon (Common and Uncommon)Vehicles:

  • All Mongooses / Gungooses, normal and Sword Ghosts, Banshees, and Wraiths - All Scout Hogs and Warthogs (including the Needler Hog) except for the Rally and ONI versions - All standard and Corps versions of the Rocket Hogs, Gauss Hogs, and Scorpion - Corps Mantises - Random Vehicle (Uncommon)…and to top it off, I always sell off the Level 1 and 2 powerups and save the Level 3 powerups instead.

Why do you flog off the Mantises? I thought they’ll be pretty useful against mobs and bosses alike, although their auto cannon is slow at killing anything compared to a tank class vehicle.

I can totally understand dropping the CE Magnum - I’ll rather wheel out a heavy vehicle at Req 6 rather than a handgun, even if pimped up. I’ve only got the CE Magnum ONCE so far, from a Daily Login Pack.

I think you missed my point somewhat. Allow me to elaborate.

A standard Mantis (Level 5) can do a lot of damage compared to other vehicles and can grant an early advantage if used well, even if the armor leaves much to be desired. The Corps Mantis (Level 6) might be a little tougher, but it costs exactly the same as the Urban/Tundra/Woodland counterparts, and it has less armor than those. This makes the Corps version less viable overall when I could pull out a better Mantis (or even a Scorpion) for the same price.

This is my system for an ideal situation, when I’m buying silvers and not forced to buy those lame gold packs:

-As a general rule of thumb, I like to keep about 10 of every item, with few exceptions.
-I sell all basic ghosts, wraiths, and scorpions because sword ghosts, wraiths, and corp scorpions are tougher and the same cost.
-Most corp and sometimes even the base model UNSC vehicles are this way too; the same Req price a their superior counterparts.
-Scout hogs are all the same price, so the only ones worth keeping are ONI and Rally. I keep 10 scout hogs at all times though so sometimes it spills over into tundra/urban/woodland variants if I use too many.

  • I like to keep 10 of the toughest gungooses, including the ONI goose which I’m still trying to figure out a strategy with lol
-If a vehicle has a more staggered point cost for its usage, like the mantis, then I just keep 10 of each.
-Since they cost the same but have unique properties, I usually keep 5x temple and 5x ultra vehicles for a total of 10 as well.

-Weapons are pretty much all the same as well. I sell the excess when I hit 10.
-The only weapon I sell off is the basic sniper rifle because I like the beam rifles more and between the 2 of them, they accumulate much faster anyway.
-The only weapon I don’t sell are needler variants. I can never have too many lol

-I like to sell random weapon and vehicle cards because they are priced quite high; uncommons are worth 100 req instead of 75, for example. I keep only a few.
-I sell most powerups. I never sell speed boosts or damage boost I or II.

-I sell all common level game boosts. They’re worth more than the reward and you probably have an uncommon or better to use anyway. I sell all uncommon and rare game boosts that involve satisfying an in game requirement, such as assists, winning, etc. What I keep (and usually run) are the uncommon or rare cards that are either RP or XP boosts or jackpots. I keep and use all ultra rare and legendary game boosts regardless of what they do.

With gold packs I have like no cards coming in so sometimes I have to let the stuff pile up. Selling this stuff between games is important though. I have been able to progress much faster thanks to selling off my extra cards and I’m nearly done with gold now.

Mongooses and plasma turret.

Gambit assists.
The only modes I get a lot of assists in are warzone and warzone assault, but I have so many better boosts to use for them.
I don’t even need the req points, I just still sell them.
¯_(ツ)_/¯

Everything promethean except heart seeker, dying star and didacts signet I keep all covenant weapons except the halo 5 beam rifles and plasma turret and UNSC weapons is hard to explain but I only keep the really good stuff because if I can req an answer instead of a normal saw then why wouldn’t I (does that make sense?)

i sell all “common” varants of weapons. The only items i really use are snipers, rail guns, lasers, and rockets. I will pull a fuel rod/camo if i’m going for the core, but i keep my REQs pretty low for the most part. It really helped me finish by gold packs at level 130.

Most of that seems like a good strategy. My only suggestion is that you keep ALL of your arena XP boosts (even the gambits). I used to sell my gambits and low XP boosts and now i have very few arena xp boosts remaining. You really don’t get as many XP boosts as you think once you get higher

all of my gungooses and turrets

The other Reqs I’ve been selling are Arena gambits for Spartan Kills and Medal Counts - simply because I always score badly in Arena games so have no hope of getting benefits from those needing high kill or medal winnings.

I also got rid of the unnamed Energy Swords and Grav Hammers because I totally get murdered whenever I wade into a mob of low level enemies or close in to one boss type.

I play Warzone Firefight exclusively, so…every weapon

Including ultra rare and Legendary req weapons too ?

I try to limit my quantity on select Common weapons/vehicles to a max of only 20 each just in case I ever felt like messing around with them in the early round.

Those weapons/vehicles are:

  • Boltshot - Storm Rifle - Suppressor - Corp Mongoose - Mongoose - Tundra Mongoose - Urban Mongoose - Woodland Mongoose - ONI Mongoose - Corp Scout Warthog - Scout Warthog - Tundra Scout Warthog - Urban Scout Warthog - Woodland Scout WarthogOh, and I’ve recently added the Rare Plasma Turret to this group that I restrict because it’s pretty useless to lug around.

I try to keep about 20 of everything; selling the various stuff I don’t use like boltshots, suppressors, warthogs, and mongeese among others. I only keep one River of light though as I consider it the worst req weapon. I do tend to run low on rail guns and plasma casters. I’d rather get one of those than a wasp or a phaeton.

Yes, even Mythics. I could call in an Oni Scorpion for the same req energy as a Nornfang, but only one of those is going to run out of ammo after putting a dent in Warden Eternal’s health. It’s tragic how useless weapons are compared to vehicles in WZFF. Although I’ll admit I keep a few splasers around for those Phaeton bosses.

For me it’s the obvious stuff like Mongooses and Assist/Kill Boosts. I actually enjoy using the lv 3 Random REQ cards, so I’ll keep them. Yea, they may give you crap like Suppressors but it’s worth the gamble when they give you tank or a mantis and everyone else is at lv 2-3.

Random vehicle cards are my favorite. I can never get enough of those :smile_cat:
