REQ Refunds

There was a similar thread about this topic but the OP’s initial post and argument wasn’t as thought out as people would like, thus they were misinterpreting the point and missing the key idea to the whole refund solution.
I devised a checklist of specific circumstances in which one must fill all requirements to get a refunded req card. This, criteria if you will, is designed for those that get picked off nearly instantly when they spawn in a vehicle or weapon without getting a chance to “use” it. But that term needs to be defined, as it will when I list my critera.

In order for one to get a refunded card, this criteria must be met entirely. This does not apply to power ups such as active camo, speed boost, over shield, or damage boost.

•1 The weapon or vehicle has not been charged or fired at any point.
•2 A passenger has not entered the vehicle at any point.
•3 The weapon has not been picked up off the ground by anyone and despawns after the default despawn timer.
•4 The game ends and all other criteria is met.
•5 The weapon or vehicle has not been held or driven longer than: 20 seconds for weapons, and 12 seconds for vehicles.(this is subject to alterations)
•6 The weapon or vehicle has not done any amount of damage to an opponent or ally.

This does not apply to random weapon/vehicle cards.

Your refunded cards will be received via req pack at the end of the match.

This will help alleviate any anxiety players have about spawning in extremely high value reqs, because they know that if they don’t get to use their card to its full intent, they will be given another chance to do so. You will also see a great increase in players spawning high value reqs during a match, so that means a higher opportunity of snagging a snazzy Nornfang off someone’s dead body. I see no reason why this would harm warzone in any way. I already stated that the player will NOT receive the refund in the middle of the match. There is still consequence for spawning that req when it is not appropriate. The player will then know to take extra precaution the next time they attempt to spawn in that req. But the whole point of this is to encourage players to spawn more valuable reqs. They are fun to use, but can be very nerve wracking when you finally try to use one.

So far this was the best breakdown for a req refund I have seen. Trying to figure out the timeout for how long to have it active before dying and meeting the criteria you have down would be the hardest part I suppose.

its hit and miss while yes it sucks to have your valuable req get wasted in a sense as many others have stated it is a risk vs reward type of transaction.

Well, it is not truly wasted unless the item meets all this criteria. If you fire one bullet, that will uncheck criteria #1, rendering that req card “used.” If you die before shooting it, but someone picks it up and they shoot it, that unchecks criteria #1, #3, #5, and possibly #6; that card was put into play, and was taken advantage of.
Keep in mind that all of this criteria must be met, which is very difficult to do. This system will not allow some one to get consistent refunds.

Edit: to add in here; there is still a risk, as well as a reward. That system is not eliminated by this refund system. The same risk applies, and the same rewards apply. If one get killed immediately after spawing a mythic, they took that risk of losing it when they spawned it. And they no longer get to use it for that match, and if someone picks it up, then that item has been put to use by the one who picks it up. The rewards are still present. You still can get several kills before dying.

Reqs are not refundable. I am not going to whine that I got shanked, before I could use my valuable req. Don’t over think it. Play to have fun.

What if I unload an unholy crusade vs the floor, walls, ground, and sky?

i was saying my opinion is against having refunds. thats why i said it sucks to have them wasted. plus you think 343 or microsoft wants to just give away req cards. naaaaaa they would rather ppl spend money to earn them back. no matter how much the community might want this certain thing back, money will supersede our wants in this case

That is one thing we can agree on. This system would be extremely beneficial to the players, but 343i isn’t about that. They’re about the money. It’s a shame, too. Warzone becomes 10 times more fun when I’m using high value reqs, when I finally just say “f#*% it, let me spawn my ultra wraith.” But then becomes 20 times more dissapointing when I get sniped just after leaving my base.
