REQ questions.

Alright, I am confused on a multitude of things. Kinetic bolt weapons, they deal more damage to vehicles, but do they deal less damage to players?

Also, if I am going to go with a BR as a primary or a DMR as a primary, should I use an assault rifle or SMG for my secondary?

Another question is, how many silver packs do you have to open total, before you start opening gold packs?

Is it possible to open a silver pack and only get 1 permanent unlock? I opened a silver pack earlier, got a cert for a light rifle, and got an ultra rare SPNKR (Not a permanent unlock)

Also, what level do you usually unlock a DMR at? I just unlocked a hybrid DMR at SR17

1: No, and I believe they slow sprinters
2: Depends on your playstyle, but I generally do
3; You’ll know when you get points back. The only other way is to count all the unlockables in the uncommon to rare range you don’t have and divide by two.
4: Not as far as I know.
5: I’m not sure when I did, but it was well after 17. There was a massive thread about people wanting the DMR at one point.

Far as I know when using kinetic you still do same amount of damage to players even with the bonus vs vehicles.

depends on you when it comes to weapons, personally I stick to one mid to long range weapon as my primary and and SMG as secondary so that I can fight at all ranges.

No idea, it also depends on if you use to boosts to get packs out faster to complete the silver collection but my guess is around Spartan ranks of 70-90 you’ll have silvers done but that’s just a guess cuz I don’t remember when I finished mine lol.

Silvers red are supposed to unlock two perms, it can be certifications, armor, visor, weapon variant, and emblems.

dmr unlocks whenever, it’s completely rng so it could be found at SR 1-152 so long as you have the req points to buy. If you’re talking about when it’s available to use in game then req lvl 6 is the lowest.

  • Kinetic bolts only do something like…15-25% more damage for SMG and AR, and like 7-12% boost for BR and DMR… to an enemy vehicle over normal loadout weapons. They also increase knockback, whether it’s only against vehicles or on other players via spartan charges I couldn’t tell you. - It’s a personal preference thing. SMG has a faster rate of fire, but it reaches its recoil threshold much faster. The AR is slower, but more controllable in that you can burst fire for longer bursts and put more rounds on target further down range (stock versions; if you use stabilization jets then go for the SMG). The SMG can shred the AR at close range, but further out the AR can overcome the SMG (as can the BR/DMR if your skilled enough)(also if your primary is out of ammo) - Someone asked this a while ago…here’s some figures:
  • Total amount of REQs unlocked via REQ packs: 1170*
  • Spread of permanent unlocks:*
  • Common: 135*
  • Uncommon: 223*
  • Rare: 285*
  • Ultra Rare: 229*
  • Legendary: 205*
Disclaimer: These numbers ignore emblems and armor sets that are unlocked via “special” methods like commendations, seasons, special REQ packs like the HCS series, etc.
    So. to answer your question…
  • REQs unlocked by Silver Packs (Common through Rare): 643*
  • REQ cost per silver pack: 5,000*
  • REQs per pack: 2* (1 dedicated emblem spot, 2 permanent unlocks)
  • Amount of silver packs required*: 643 REQs remaining / 2 REQs per pack = 321.5
  • If all you have left is one rare or less cert left, yes. But if that’s the case you would get REQ points back (1500 iirc) for each permanent unlock slot that is not used. Could have just been a glitched pack. Back in the Warzone Firefight update, I ended up getting my 3k back from silver packs, even though I still had one rare item left to get. I got it later on opening gold packs. Higher tier (Ultra Rare and up) are possible to get from silver req packs (even the daily warzone win), but it’s extremely rare. - There are a total of 9 DMR REQs that are ranked as Rare, and thereby available from silver packs. It’s all based on luck…or rather the random number generator algorithm.
There really is no rank requirement for REQs. You can unlock everything at Spartan Rank 1 if you got the money to spend, or somehow got REQ points from somewhere other than actually playing the game.
In Warzone, DMR’s begin to become available at REQ level 6. All variants (for any loadout weapon) become available at REQ level 8.
