I don’t get it. My rank is 52. I’ve purchased tons of gold packs, tons of silver packs (with req points of course, no real money), yet the BEST thing I’ve unlocked (between vehicles and weapons) is a standard scorpion. Not even an upgraded one, just the standard. A friend of mine is a level 54 and has certs for upgraded tanks, a banshee cert, a wraith cert, ultra rare weapon certs, the works. My highest ranked weapon cert is Ad Victoriam, a rare rocket launcher. Every time I unlock gold packs I get uncommon weapons or rare armor with rare emblems. I don’t understand why I can NEVER get anything decent in my req packs. I’ve unlocked transport warthogs, plasma pistols, boltshots, a rare needler, like seriously? Is anyone as unlucky as me when it comes to this?
you should first get everything you can get with silver packs, only then start to get gold packs. This will save you time and Points
I didn’t get my first Mythic until level 92. Just keep opening silver packs, Golds are a waste of time until then.

Doesn’t hurt to get a lot of bronze packs too. Get a lot of the common items out of the way. Then when you have all of those go up to the silver packs for all your uncommon to rare. Then when you have all those move up to the gold. You’ll fill your inventory much faster this way. And don’t forget to sell back items you don’t want.
Unfortunately random is random?
Looks like you just wasted a lot of points on gold if you are still getting uncommons. You should have only bought silvers until most/all of your uncommons are done. Your friend probably did it the right way and got the stuff you should have by now. This has nothing to do with req purchases being unfair.

This, bronze will knock out a bunch of the bull -Yoink- common items as well as give you a ton of extra low level exp/rp boosts to spam every game.
If you still have uncommons to unlock, then you’re really wasting your money on gold packs.
There’s ~170 uncommon unlocks and ~200 rare unlocks. Absolutely no reason to be buying gold when you have chances to pull from one of those groups, when Silver can do that for half the price.

No sir, my friend knows less about purchasing reqs than I do. I have seen strategies before, but that was long after I had already wasted thousands of points on gold packs. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say it’s probably because he purchased the special 3 weekly req packs or whatever it was. He actually spent real money on some of it. Pretty sure that’s where he got his Wraith cert. And yes, I get that it’s supposed to be “random”, but how unlucky can I be to advance 52 levels and have my highest cert be an ordinary Scorpion?
As stated before, that’s why you purchase Bronze packs to eliminate the commons. Purchase the Silver packs to eliminate the uncommons and rares. Then purchase the Gold packs… or at the very least wait until you get all the commons and most of the uncommons before buying Gold.
I just unlocked all the weapons and vehicles. 99% done with armor and helmets. The route you should take is bronze first. Cheapest way to go. 1250, but you’re not guaranteed which is true. But most of the time you will unlock something. 4 bronze is equal to one silver. And grinding req points for bronze is so quick and easy. BTB, arena, warzone assault, Warzone is like x2 or x1.5 if you get like 2100 req points. But the thing is, its also bloated with useless req items like a mongoose. Sell the useless stuff too. You have 4 chances each time to get a common req item and the odds are most likely in anyone’s favor if they open bronze. You may end up with dead pulls, but its the consistency of bronze packs you keep buying. It only took me less than a week to finish all of the commons.
Yeah, the req system can get a little frustrating. Ima at 54 with almost 90 helmets and armor and STILL i havent obtained the single rare armor i want (noble). The reqs i want the most i almost never get. I feel like 343 has put too many reqs and certs in the first place.
