Honestly it’s not that bad of an idea. Personally, if there were a feature like that, I’d probably use it. When I used to play Black Ops 2, I’d prestige again as soon as I hit, what level was it? 55? Can’t remember. But yeah, I like doing things like that. Although yes, the req system does have its flaws, ultimately I wouldn’t mind having another go at unlocking everything again, but that’s just me. The journey’s more fun during it than looking back on it. I will say most likely something like this will not be added into Halo 5 or any other Halo games moving forward, but hey, thanks for having an idea

I was gonna say that too, lol. If you’re running low on those common through rare reqs, you can buy bronze or silver packs, albeit you’ll get less in those than in gold, but gold packs have a chance of getting reqs from uncommon through legendary, lowering your chances of getting those low tier reqs
The last thing Halo needs is more ideas fr—jk, jk!
This doesn’t sound like a bad idea. I’d never do it, but it’d be nice for people like you who want to unlock REQs all over again, and it really shouldn’t upset anyone since it’d be optional and largely redundant to many. Ah, who am I kidding? Folks here literally go out of their way to find things to get upset about.
The last thing halo needs is more ideas from call of duty!
It is definitely a COD thing but id like to be able to prestige personally. Im at 149 right now and trying to grind to 150 is just ridiculous and not very satisfying. Id like more achievement options something along these lines. I dont get your argument but i understand it about not having enough carbines. But like others said if you want those items you need to buy bronze and silver packs. They will never add this because that is cod but id support a system similar to it. Or like how the ranks were in halo reach.
Well I haven’t gotten all the reqs yet I’m just now starting silver packs bit yeah I can understand how frustrating it may be to never get any of thoes common cards that you use often. On the other hand I’ve played cod for a while and I know that when you prestige there is always a reward such as a perm unlock token so what could they do for a reward to prestigeing in halo? But I do agree you are on to a good idea worth some debate

Been there done that. The problem lies in how I have so many Common to Rares unlocked and that Silver and Bronze offer smaller amounts of items I still replenish my arsenal at a frustratingly lower amount than when I didn’t have everything unlocked.

Tldr: sorry but his is a novel and its late- my thoughts on the premise though is this: its faaaarrr to late to implement it. In cod 4 a prestige took between 1-3 days of playing time if i remember correctly. I’ve played ~10 days of h5 i believe and im still a loooong ways from being done. The cycle needs to be addictive AND rewarding. Starting over after reaching 152 just doesn’t make sense from a design stance imo.
It’s not a bad idea, personally I liked halo reach’s rank progression the most.
As of reading this, I still have like 5 common reqs I need to unlock, lol. Still don’t have certifications for most of the standard mongoose variants.
But I do have one question, would req prestiging erase all the reqs we own currently? I think in Black Ops 2 (referrencing it because it’s one of the few games I know that have a system like that) when you did prestige, it got rid of everything. I’d be okay with losing the certifications, but you might as well -Yoink!- my Spartan corpse to death if it means you’re taking away my Nornfangs and SPNKr Primes from me, lol

Mongoose variants only unlocked in bronze packs.

I know, I’ve tried buying them, but I continue to get only req points and single use reqs. No certifications
I don’t hate the idea.
If anything, I’d make it where completing a “prestige” gave players a permanent boost to REQ point earnings (points earned at the end of a game, not the in-game points tied to REQ level).
You think this is some sort of game? You can’t just… ‘reset’ your inventory o.O
Surely just buying some Bronze and Silver packs instead of Gold should get you some lower REQ cards like the Carbine?
The concept is sound, and the idea is viable. However, I would not use it, personally, because i just get what I need through Silver packs, if I need them.
Though, I would love a few more Wasps. I’ve been Waspless for the past week. Even through 30+ silver and gold packs, not one has come to me.

So true.
There isn’t really that many certifications for there to be a prestige type thing. Most of the REQ system is armor and emblems.
Your suggestion seems unlikely to draw any use if implemented. Most players won’t do it because they really enjoy the more powerful REQs or because they never will finish the collection. A lot of the lower REQ items are lame, like the many varieties of Mongoose. Buying silvers really stocks you well in somewhat useful low tier REQs. If you really want to unlock them all again, you can always make a new account.
You realize you just have to buy silvers to get common-rare items right?
