I was wondering which power weapons you guys have unlocked and what you think is actually really useful. Also maybe explain what some of them do. I occasionally pick up someone’s gun and don’t really understand what the “perk” does on it. I picked up an Assault Rifle that had a Promethean barrel on it. What does that do exactly? Also what do the supressors do? I picked up a Battle Rifle with a suppressor and didn’t really seem to effect much. Maybe you don’t appear on radar when firing?
I personally like the Void’s Tear Plasma Pistol. It creates a tiny vortex where the blast lands, sucking things and people in. It’s really useful if you use that then stick them. haha. I also got some kind of Ghost that had explosive rounds, which was really useful. I didn’t get a lot of kills with it but I kept shots on people so they couldn’t do much.

Shotgun and Sword are great for defense and rushing inside a base (long as you dont die and end up giving it to the other team)
the Sniper Rifle is good. it kills banshees in a few shots.
Plasma pistol lets you plant grenades on any player vehicle with ease so its good.
the Chaingun is good if you use it as a defense item. no loadout gun can out dps it.
the Spartan Laser is the best ranged anti vehicle gun currently. it one shots most things.
most of the others are not worth using over a loadout weapon or one of the ones listed here. even the rocket launcher is not as good as the Laser or Railgun due to its projectile travel time and not as good as the FRG due to the much lower ammo count.
as for Loadout guns… Silencer prevents shooting form making you appear on radar. Knetic ammo (the "Promethean barrel) MASSIVELY improves damage vs vehicles (even boss vehicles) and also causes enemies to turn to ash when you kill them, the bayonet causes your normal melee to be a one shot with better tracking range (close to the power of a energy sword) Laser targeter and extended barrel i have not seen much actual increase in range or accuracy… the stabilizer is also useless. Battle rifle with supresser is also generally useless since you will mostly be attacking from outside radar range anyways.
the ghost you got was a Ghost Ultra… its white colored and trades ROF for explosive rounds which shake the screen like crazy. its also tougher than a normal ghost.
I didn’t ‘unlock’ it as such, but I got a Spartan Laser from a random weapon REQ last night that had basically no charge time. Also seemed to have some kind of explosive impact as I promptly scored a double kill with my first shot (shot a Spartan, not a vehicle).
