I think that you should be able to get req points for playing in the campaign, right now there is no reward for playing the campaign, and it would give people an incentive to go back and play it.
Aside from the somewhat misleading title (and I’d advise that you edit it), Warzone Firefight is the most efficient way to earn lots of REQ points.
There’s already a ton of vids out there on good ways to get RP. RP in Campaign, I feel, won’t be enough of an incentive to go back and play it. People this much time into the game already have solid opinions on the thing, and they won’t budge no matter how good the payoff is. Even if it’s a good one, you’re gonna have those guys who are like “This should’ve been added day one! NYEHH”.
I would instead like to see some form of reward for beating the Campaign in different difficulties.
Here is few suggestions of rewards.
- Campaign Easy difficulty completion
- Campaign - Easy emblem
- Uncommon rarity - Campaign Normal difficulty completion
- Campaign - Normal emblem
- Rare Rarity - Campaign Heroic difficulty completion
- Campaign - Heroic emblem
- Ultra Rare Rarity - Campaign Legendary difficulty completion
- Campaign - Legendary emblem
- Legendary rarity - Campaign Mythic difficulty completion
- Campaign - Mythic emblem
- Mythic - Legendary rarity - Exclusive Helmet and Armor
- Mythic - Legendary rarity
That would make make massive rewards for the Campaign for those who attempt to complete it. It would also be great if there was at least 1 Mythic emblem in the game.

Yeah, this would be a nice touch. I just don’t think RP would be necessary for the campaign. I mean, I guess it wouldn’t hurt, but I am a fairly casual player (as far as how much I play MM compared to most Halo fans), and I have all REQs unlocked and 500,000 RP saved. So the grind, compared to other games like NBA 2k18, is very reasonable without spending a penny.

the only bragging rights u can get from campaign was beating the story on legendary alone in a day with less than 1000 deaths on the first week of the games release, that’s it sadly

My problem is that while I dislike halo reach, it gives you rewards in the campaign. I think halo 5 has a decent campaign, at least in level design in lots of areas. the only really bad mission is the breaking, which felt like some of the more restrictive halo missions (library, Cortana, the great journey, etc.). But this is just my opinion, as I don’t really like multiplayer in general. I prefer the campaigns, that’s why I love halo 3, and don’t particularly like halo 2. but we need more campaign rewards, like helioskrill, cqc etc.
Here’s a major problem I see with earning RP in campaign. There’s not really a way to make it non-exploitable if it’s going to be a significant amount. I’ve seen some speedruns of H5, and every level can be broken and beaten pretty quickly on Legendary.
If it’s a set amount for completing it on a certain difficulty, people will find the fastest level to run, and run it repeatedly (granted the RP/Time ratio is even worth it).
If it’s some sort of Time + Difficulty equation, same thing
If it’s based on Kills/Medals + Difficulty, someone will find the level with the largest amount of enemies with the shortest time, and run it repeatedly.
If the RP payout isn’t significant in general, nobody’s going to go back to play it anyway.
You see my point. I don’t think RP in campaign would incentivize people to play through the whole thing again, they would just find a way to exploit the system for infinite REQ points.
