Req Points for New Drop

I saw a couple of post the last 2 days about how many reqs were needed to get the new stuff in the next update.
It was like 40,000 silvers and 150,000 golds.
I only have about one third of my silvers. Is there any reason for me to save req points towards getting the new things coming up?

Totals: 8 Silver Packs (40,000RP) and 14 Gold Packs (140,000RP).

Or if you already unlocked all of the Weapon Skins: 7 Silver Packs (35,000RP) and 7 Gold Packs (70,000RP).

Thanks, I guess there’s no point in saving. I don’t even have half my silvers so far. Not even close to having weapon skins unlocked.
