REQ packs with console bundle

I ordered the Halo 5 console bundle. I was wondering if we could get some clarification about the REQ packs that are included.

For instance, the console includes the ‘Locke’ controller which if bought separately includes the ‘Resolute Visor’. Is this visor also included with the console bundle (due to it having the Locke controller included). Second, the limited edition, does it have a standardized set of REQ packs? Or is it random per limited edition? In the case of the latter, wouldn’t that suck a little? I mean, it would completely devalue the limited edition for some, while one person gets a bunch of awesome REQs and someone else gets a lot of really boring REQs. Is there a system in place that at least guarantees a few good REQS from the limited edition?

Finally, will console buyers get the same option to swap out the digital code for a physical disc?

> 14 Premium Requisition packs to enhance Spartan combat, FOTUS-class armor, and multiplayer emblem

I got this straight from Amazon.
It includes FOURTEEN packs *after reading the REQ post today, this seems really crazy to me
FOTUS armor & multiplayer emblems are REQ cards too, therefore by this logic we can conclude either:

  • There is a standardized set of REQ cards for the higher-than-basic-disc editions - OR There is a standardized set of REQ cards that include a subset of random cards (ambiguous given “packs to enhance Spartan combat”)So you’re guaranteed certain cards, but others ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I mean, as long as you’re getting at least some standard cards that are inaccessible to other players (I hope the FOTUS and emblem can never be unlocked by other means), then I guess you’re getting what you paid for.
Them throwing in random REQ packs is like a nice bonus since you wouldn’t have to buy them using microtransactions (we’re talking about getting lots of REQ cards day 1 where your options are to have a limited edition or to buy using microtrans).

ALSO
There has been no news of the code for disc swap that I’ve heard of yet.

FOTUS is available to everyone but getting the bundle obviously rewards you it faster although the emblem is the only exclusive.

The 14 Warzone packs are given to you every week. 2 Each week for 7 weeks I believe.

Well that’s a bummer…
So there’s no online exclusivity-my-spartan-stands-out-because-i-got-a-limited-edition for ppl who buy special editions?

Don’t know but you get a shiny case? Plus that is your reward you get extra REQ packs that the rest of us don’t.

Yeah, seems logical. Also, I heard that only the FOTUS emblem will be exclusive and that the FOTUS armor is simply an early unlock rather than exclusive this time around.

> I mean, as long as you’re getting at least some standard cards that are inaccessible to other players (I hope the FOTUS and emblem can never be unlocked by other means), then I guess you’re getting what you paid for.

What you paid for is a console and a game…

> we’re talking about getting lots of REQ cards day 1

You don’t get the packs all at once. “The Halo 5: Guardians – Warzone REQ Bundle includes 14 Premium Requisition Packs, with 2 releasing on a weekly basis. Requires Halo 5: Guardians game, Xbox Live Gold membership (sold separately) and broadband internet; ISP fees apply.”

Meh, screw Fotus, I want them to make sure that Helioskrill stays MCC Legend achievement only.

Agree with the above to be honest, exclusives for achievements is fine IMO but exclusives for those who spend more is dumb. Sure give those who spend extra fancy things that come with the game etc but no exclusive content for the actual game itself.

I’m kinda glad that things like FOTUS aren’t completely exclusive any more. Means we won’t get hundreds of posts from people begging for codes or licence transfers and you won’t get folk selling them on ebay for $$$

Source? Because everywhere I’ve seen, there’s been no ‘end’ date for the packs.
