So after 250 hours of Halo 5 (lol when did that happen) I am approaching the point where I will have all the req collectibles. The problem I am running into is that I have to count how many I don’t have, instead of halo just telling me how many I need. Is there a way to calculate how many more reqs I need to finish completion?

I would have to spend $300 on the maximum value pack, OR waste 322.5 hours on just playing warzone only, not including menu time… bad game design. Bad progression system. I only have 250 hours right now and that is with forge time and campaign time.
I would even argue that the “free content” which was really just delayed content was pushed back so that they had an excuse for the monetization.

If you consider play time as a “waste” perhaps halo just isn’t for you… Just saying. While the req system isn’t perfect it’s not nearly as bad as other systems out there. The dis advantage is to new players but players who have been around awhile unlocking everything isn’t that bad really. Just don’t concentrate so much on all the unlocks so much and just play the game.

I’m not trying to start an argument. I know that some
people thinks that the content was just delayed stuff which in understandable. I, personnaly, think the game was all right from release.
The amount of time you spend doing something you like shouldn’t matter. If you play only to unlock stuff you might consider playing another game and when you come back to Halo 5 you know there’s always progression available to you

I like that it takes so long to unlock everything and it’s a long grind. H4 was a joke. You maxed out the game in two months and I feel that is what truly led to it’s quick demise. You reached max everything in no time. At least in H5 you have long grinds for stuff, all the commendations, max XP, or reaching champion CSR, or all the Spartan company commendations. Usually always have something to play for. I have the pack grind done, now grinding for XP, commendations( use mongooses people so I can get mongoose destroyer only 10 to go) and reach champion bin FFA.
“Halo just isn’t for you” come on man. I thought we were over the “go play something else” futile arguments. Go look at my bungie history. The problem is not with the gameplay. The problem is the grind they put into it. As i have stated and you so clearly ignored, I would have to play more than the huge amount I have already played just to finish the collection. I have no desire to sit here for 12 hours a day to play video games. By the time I will even get close, then next Halo game will be out. It’s not a halo problem, it’s a 343 problem. The sooner we as a community can start listening to each other instead of being dismissive the sooner we will be able to work together to make the games great again. You may pour your heart and soul into Halo 5 and that is fine, but don’t suggest that I shouldn’t play it because I don’t want to waste my life and time away just to finish a completion. That is the wrong reason to play. That is what I am saying. I plan of just playing for fun, and I never said I would stop because of this one issue.
Halo 4s demise wasn’t the progression, it was the change for the sake of change.

Again, “go play something else” is not an intelligent argument and sovles no problems. The fan base has been shrinking for a reason. Not addressing people’s concerns is part of the problem.
