I got the req pack for the group, and I got a helmet and 2 random guns, did everyone with that req pack get the same games? or are all req packs random?

Did you get the Aviator CSAR Helmet is what I mean, thats what I got.
They seem random. All I got were XP boosts, but those will come in handy I suppose.
The Spartan Company REQ Packs will always have one cosmetic item and two other random items.

Ohh, I didnt know if there were certain packs that give you certain items, but I see its a random cosmetic

Color of the background tells you. White is common, green uncommon, purple rare, and finally yellow with legendary/mythic.

Oh thanks, I got a uncommon helmet, I also have 2 extra armour sets unlocked besides default that are yellow and I’m not sure how I got them.
I got a helmet and 2 “random” vehicle spawns for warzone

If they are Mk VI then it’s from completing Cario on normal or higher and another achievement for playing a campaign mission or multiplayer match in MCC. If it’s an ODST-like armor, then it’s from watching Nightfall on the Halo Channel.

Does the level of req pack change the likelihood of more rare stuff or can you only get certain req packs with high level ones?
