REQ Packs Questions

I’m a long time Halo player, but new to Halo 5. I’m completely confused over this new REQ pack system. I have about 60 req packs, all of which are bronze and silvers and I’m not sure which order I should open them. I read a lot of req pack guides online however they are mostly outdated by now, as I have heard that the req pack system has changed over time. Also, what do people mean when they say that they completed silver, or bronze?

Bronze first until you “complete” it (that is, stop getting any permanent unlocks and instead start getting amounts of REQ points back). Bronzes dont do that anymore though, you just get a bunch of random common or uncommon REQs I think. When you run out of Bronze ones, go to Silvers until you get points back again. Then move on to Gold.

If you have a bunch of Bronze and Silver packs, it’s generally recommended that you open the Bronze packs first to help get some of the Common items out of the way before opening the Silver packs, as you would then be more likely to receive Uncommon and Rare REQs when you do get to the Silver packs.

When someone says that they have “completed” a type of REQ pack, they most likely mean that they have received all of the possible permanent unlocks from those packs. So, for example, if I say that I’ve completed Bronze packs, that would mean that I’ve received all of the Common REQ items. For Silver, that would mean I have all of the Uncommon and Rare stuff. And for Gold, I would have all of the Ultra Rare and Legendary REQs available, aside from the stuff that is exclusive to certain packs.

Honestly it’s fine if you skip bronze since they don’t always give permanent unlocks

Start with Bronze, then Silver, and lastly Gold packs.

Bronze Packs don’t give you points back once you have gotten all the common items. The only packs that do this are Silver and Gold.

That must have been the change the OP mentioned. I completely forgot, I haven’t bought a bronze in months
