Req packs on sale, get those credit cards out :-)

Req packs on sale

No thanks

Yet there’s no discount via req points. Funny how you get rewarded for not playing the game, now. It’s getting pathetic, how sad that such a money hungry company took over Halo.

Or it’s sad people wanna rake companies over the coals just because they want to make money.

Right, because everyone at 343 is struggling to make ends meet. They’ve only made how much money from these microtransactions? Hundreds of thousands?

Edit: They’ve made well over $1.5 million from them.

There is no telling how much they have or haven’t made some seem to think they have made Billions and Billions of dollars… I don’t think they made as much as some think. Halo doesn’t have a huge population and most seem to be grinding out points.

For anyone that’s interested, here’s a rundown of the Gold REQ packs on sale:
• 34 Gold REQ packs + 13 Free = 47 Total — $59.99 (Save 40%, Usually $99.99)
• 15 Gold REQ packs + 5 Free = 20 Total — $30.14 (Save 33%, Usually $44.99)
• 10 Gold REQ packs + 3 Free = 13 Total — $22.49 (Usually $29.99)
• 7 Gold REQ packs + 2 Free = 9 Total — $15.99 (Save 20%, Usually $19.99)
• 5 Gold REQ packs — $12.44 (Usually $14.99)
• 3 Gold REQ packs — $7.46 (Usually $8.99)
• 1 Gold REQ pack — $2.48 (Usually $2.99)
I personally bought one of each HCS Series 1 REQ packs, which comes out to about 20 Gold REQ packs in this sale. They couldn’t have timed it worse for us consumers, considering how much more bang I could have gotten for my buck. At least a portion of the HCS REQ packs goes towards the teams…

That’s what everyone always says when they spend money… “at least it’s going towards the teams”. That was an acceptable reason about $500,000 ago. I think they have more than enough money for their precious teams at this point.

Eh, it can happen when buying anything. Buy something and then see it on sale shortly there after.

Four months ago it was announced REQ Pack microtranssctions made MS $1.5 million, so I’m not really sympathetic to the “They need to make money” card on a game that isn’t free to play and already costs money to buy along with a console to play it on along with a paid membership for online play if you want to get the most out of the game. Discounts are nice, but to see MS or 343 not extend a discount to REQ Points is pretty disappointing. I had a $4 credit, but I spent it on Fallout 4 Contraptions instead.

Theres a sale?! Need to get myself a turtle neck sweater…Oh this isn’t Macy’s nvm.
I’ll do what I’ve been doing. Opening packs for $0

Millions most likely. Only a portion went into the HCS, and that was $1.5 million.

LethalQ is Frankie confirmed :kappa:

How much did Bungie make from map packs? I bet more than that seeing how Halo had a much bigger population back then. This sale is probably targeted towards any players that have decided to stick with Halo after the free trail and don’t have many reqs or points since they are new. It’s a good way for then to build their reqs quickly.

They should release for free that everyone likes.

With the amount of money they’re getting, 343 should continue to add in more DLC to halo 5.

And they are. They are just done with the “monthly” updates.

They should’ve extended their contract with microsoft to a full year of monthly DLC.

I pray the REQ system NEVER returns to the Halo series… It has no right being here. It’s just for pure greed.
